I must be the only one on this site who doesn't give a toss about this **** sport.

You would if you lived here, mate! My father-in-law was just itching to phone me and ask the score. Won't hear from him for days now! <laugh> <cheers>

Well it's more exciting than NFL. Certainly far less needless stoppages.

And you think that American football is in any way comparable to the spectacle in Cardiff tonight? You're deluded.

Oh please. American Football actually involves tactics beyond picking up the ball and running into a big crowd of people, and then repeating. It involves other attributes over than how big and beefy you are. It also doesn't often result in matches ending up with scorelines that a multiples of three as penalty conversions are so bloody common. Rugby is perhaps the most mindless sport out there.

Also Atlanta Falcons v Detroit Lions > This

And Pittsburg Steelers v MInnesota Vikings > This

And Baltimore Ravens v whoever they were playing (San Fransisco 49ers maybe) in that crazy game a couple of seasons back > This

Also possibly New England Patriots v Seattle Seahawks as the ending was pretty crazy apparently, but I didn't see it > this

I'm a big fan of both sports but I have to say with all due respect that you're definitely wrong here.

Yes, but you don't like NFL either (unless you've hidden it well). PL likes NFL but not Rugby Union, which, at international level, is thrilling to watch. The 6 Nations is a fantastic tournament.

Oh god, I agree with PL on something. That's a bit worrying.

You really think rugby just involves people running at each other. ****ing hell. I'm not a huge fan of rugby but I watch it at international level. You should watch New Zealand play. They are not mindless that is for sure. Oh, and 16 isn't a multiple of 3.

So, in other words, you didn't watch tonight's game then, because none of what you describe actually happened. Shame, you missed a great one.

Even if that did happen, I'd rather watch that than 3 hours of stop start "action" with countless TV adverts. Don't get me wrong, American Football is OK but I prefer the more fast paced game of rugby.

Phew, thanks PL. We are different. That little 'not being a giant peanut hugging fan' thing we have in common had me worried for a moment.

Rugby is far superior to NFL.

That's the final word. The Pie has spoken.

Sorry PL but all that tells me is that you haven't got the first clue about rugby!

I can accept that opinion fair and square, but saying rugby is devoid of tactics and just a case of the biggest and beefiest running into one another is just plain wrong.
