Spurs fans are not some strange monolithic entity. We don't all agree about everything. Did some Spurs fans claim that Bale didn't dive? I don't know. Possibly. Were they in a very small minority? Very much so, in my experience. I've not seen any Spurs fan claim that Bale never dived. They would be wrong if they did. I have seen you say that Wilshere doesn't dive, though. That's also wrong.
So then why try and claim that 'Spurs fans accepted that Bale dived' when you knew that some didn't ? It looks a bit idiotic to say that claiming otherwise is idiocy now, doesn't it ?
I didn't say that some Spurs fans said that Bale had never dived. I explicitly stated that I'd not seen any Spurs fan say that. You really struggle with this reading stuff, don't you?
You're squirming again You said 'Spurs fans accepted that Bale dived. Claiming otherwise is idiocy' I pointed out to you where Spurs fans had claimed otherwise and you then tried to squirm out of it by saying that not all Spurs fans share the same view. You are tying yourself up in knots
You didn't point out where Spurs fans had claimed otherwise. You made a claim that they had. I said that I hadn't seen this happen. It seems to you like I'm tying myself in knots because you struggle to read things properly. If you're having problems with some of the bigger words, then ask someone to help you.
What a load of trivial nonsense! Yes, Bale has take the odd dive, which player hasn't? In Bale's case, he got kicked to **** and back by thugs, like Charlie Adam, with nothing given. I suppose it was his way of trying to even things up a bit. Also, he was accused, and booked by idiots like Marriner, when they were clear fouls.
You either stand by your claim that 'Spurs fans accepted Bale dived. Claiming otherwise is idiocy' Or you admit that it is idiocy to claim that all Spurs fans accepted this. You've already admitted that not all Spurs fans share the same view on it. You are contradicting yourself as you go. You've also tried to divert attention from your mistake by claiming that I defended Wilshere from diving when I have done no such thing. I said that he often takes a heavy tackle and gets nothing. I said nothing about him not diving. It's apparent here who's struggling to read
I don't disagree with any of this My point was that PNP was trying to claim that 'Spurs fans accepted that Bale dived. Claiming otherwise is idiocy' When there were Spurs fans who claimed that he wasn't diving, but that he was trying to jump out of the way of a tackle. Even Bale admitted that he dived when there was no contact, I guess they got it from the Horse's mouth.
You've failed to understand simple sentences again, Piskie. It's quite worrying how often this happens. Drunk? I said that Spurs fans accepted that Bale dived. I didn't say all Spurs fans. That's completely consistent with everything else that I've said. You said that my claims that Wilshere dives was bollocks. You now claim that you didn't defend him. That's completely inconsistent. See how this works? I post something sensible, you post cack in response and then I point out why you're wrong. It's educational. Doubt it'll work, but there's the potential for you to learn here.
You should have said 'Some Spurs fans accepted that Bale dived' If you need help with this language stuff, ask a grown up to help you
There's absolutely nothing wrong with the sentence I used. You're simply struggling with comprehension because you're a bit Merson.
So if I say 'Arsenal fans support Arsene Wenger' You wouldn't be inclined to point out that some don't ?
I think the point everyone is missing is that Chelsea have loads of divers at the moment and bs city have had divers since Fanny Lee and his Bellyflops
This is probably the more salient point. Everybody knows Bale dived, he even admitted it. The Spurs fans who denied it are deluding themselves. As for Chelsea, they make Bale look like he was about to be chopped down when he 'dived' out of the way. Mourinho defending them and then claiming that there is a 'campaign' just makes him look like an idiot.
Stop trying to split hairs and squirm out of it I think it's clear you made an error with that sentence about 'Spurs fans' when you should have said 'Some Spurs fans'. Especially when you followed it with 'claiming otherwise is idiocy' You just set yourself up to be countered there. I'm not going to trawl through the old site (if it even still exists) to find the quotes, but rest assured they were made.
So, not only do you have a distinct problem understanding English, but you're making a claim that you simply can't support? Sounds about right. Your whole point is based on something that you can't even demonstrate. The sad thing is, you'd still be wrong anyway.
Gareth Bale even admitted that he 'dived' when he thought he was about to get tackled. Do you think it's unreasonable to assume that some Spurs fans repeated that when people accused him of diving ? You know as well as I do, that some Spurs fans tried to make excuses for his diving and some Spurs fans admitted that he dived. You are a moderator on the Spurs board, are you trying to claim that you never saw anybody make the claim that he was diving to evade a tackle ?
I've never seen a Spurs fan say that Bale never dived. If you're talking about specific incidents, then you're going to get different opinions, obviously. He was widely criticised by Spurs fans for diving, though.
