'Most pundits'? The fact is mate, he's either the best 'by default' or it's just opinion. Nobody has scored more goals in the PL era so by default he's the best in that sense. If you look at it subjectively, which is what I assume these pundits are doing when they put Henry on top, then I'd probably have him top 10. He's benefited from Ronaldo being drawn to his dream of playing for Real Madrid, otherwise we wouldn't even be talking about him or Henry.
Yes but "opinion" only extends so far. Anyone putting him in "the top 30 at best" is clearly senile. Agreed on Ronaldo mind, if he'd stayed in the premier league he'd be head and shoulders above anyone there ever has been or will be in my opinion.

I'd probably have him top 10 in my preference of best PL strikers but once it comes to opinion you can probably forgive a Mackem for saying a Toon player isn't so high on his list. They'd have Phillips top 10, he'd be nowhere near yours and I'm not sure he'd be in mine but that's opinions innit.

Yeah I get that mate I just didn't see it for long enough from him to put him up there. Great player mind, very clever with the ball at his feet and deserved more of a shot at international level. Shearer would be more up there for me for his work at Blackburn than Newcastle anyway.
