Come on you Redmen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Off now. Cheese update on Monday! Have a good'un lads and Judys
Head-to-head Everton have won just one of their last seven Premier League home games against Liverpool (W1, D2, L4). Liverpool's only defeat in the 16 most recent league meetings came at Goodison Park in October 2010 (W8, D7, L1). The Merseyside derby has produced 20 red cards in the Premier League, more than any other fixture in the division. However, there has not been a sending off in the last seven derbies in league and cup. Everton Everton's victory at Crystal Palace last weekend ended a six-match winless streak in the league (eight in all competitions). The Toffees have only managed one win in their last five home matches in the league. No team has scored more Premier League goals in the first five minutes than Everton's four this season. Premier League fixtures at Goodison Park have produced an average of three goals a game this season, the joint second-highest in the league. Liverpool Liverpool are unbeaten in seven league games, and have won five of their last six. The Reds have won four of their last five away games, keeping clean sheets in the last three. At this stage last season, Liverpool were eight points better off, with 46 points after 23 games. Liverpool have won eight of 12 Premier League games that Lucas has started this season (67%) and just three of 11 when he hasn't (27%). Steven Gerrard is the leading Premier League scorer in this fixture with nine goals, but only two of those came at Goodison Park, in 2001 and 2005.

Looking forward to the game, nervous as always but looking forward to it. I usually hate the fixture.
Steven Gerrard: Liverpool captain ready for Everton 'banter' Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard does not expect to get a fond farewell from Everton's supporters when he plays in his final league Merseyside derby. Gerrard, 34, has been a target for Everton fans for many years and thinks there will be little change at Goodison Park on Saturday (17:30 GMT). He said: "I doubt it very much. I love the banter with Everton fans. It's what it's all about. It's about rivalries. "I don't mind it at all. Bring it on, as far as I'm concerned." Gerrard will end his Liverpool career at the end of the season before a move to MLS side LA Galaxy. Although this will be his final Premier League appearance against Everton, he could still face Roberto Martinez's side in the Europa League with both Merseyside teams having the first leg of their last-32 ties on 19 February. Only Ian Rush has scored more goals for Liverpool in the Merseyside derby than Gerrard, who has netted 10 times in 32 appearances against Everton - including the Reds' goal in a 1-1 draw at Anfield in September. And he hopes to sign off on a high by extending Liverpool's unbeaten nine-match run in the fixture. Gerrard added on Liverpool FC TV: "It will be my last derby and it will be someone else's turn to be in the spotlight. "I love playing against Everton. I've got friends and family members who are big Blues and it's all about the bragging rights in the city. "It's a bit different from a normal league game, but I'm looking forward to that one and hopefully I can add to my good derby record." Everton manager Martinez hopes the spotlight will be on his team rather than Gerrard, as they look to build on last Saturday's 1-0 win at Crystal Palace - their first victory in nine games. Martinez said: "When we play the Merseyside derby at Goodison, we want it to be our Merseyside derby and that's the only thing we are looking at. "As a football club, we have been in a period when we haven't been enjoying the results that we wanted, so we will look forward to it being our Merseyside derby."
Proper game last night and we won... Wales 16 England 21, but also looking forward to this one.Hope all goes well and fans are well behaved, although cant help thinking the media haven't helped with all the hype about possible trouble because of the late K.O
I think this game hinges on Markovic - if he's fit, he'll slot into RWB thus leaving Hendo and Lucas in the middle, with Gerrard in an advanced position. If he isn't fit - Hendo will go to RWB, Gerrard and Lucas in the middle. If this happens, then I'll have little confidence going into the game. Apparently Lallana isn't fit ... Turning out to be another Aquilani lol.
Daniel Sturridge may have only played in three Merseyside derbies, but the striker insists he's already developed a love of the feisty fixture. Three goals in as many Liverpool games against the Blues suggest the forward has every reason to be warming to one of football's most famous battles. Sturridge, who announced his returned from a five-month injury lay-off by scoring against West Ham United last weekend, netted a crucial equaliser last time the Reds crossed Stanley Park. Everton were on the brink of what would have been a famous victory until Sturridge, on as a second-half substitute, latched onto Steven Gerrard's cross to flick a late header into the net for 3-3. At Anfield in January 2014, he struck twice in the space of three minutes to silence the travelling supporters, before missing the chance to seal a hat-trick when he shot a penalty over the bar and into the Kop. "First and foremost I'm excited," said Sturridge, speaking to BT Sport ahead of today's 224th instalment of the derby at Goodison Park. "It's my favourite game. I love the game. "The feeling in the city is just completely different when you play in that game, the energy - everything. I'm looking forward to it. In terms of whether I'm going to play or not, that's the manager's decision. I'm ready for it." Today will be Gerrard's 33rd meeting with the Blues and, barring an all-Merseyside Europa League encounter before the end of the season, it will be the skipper's final derby clash. Sturridge insists he has nothing but admiration for the captain, who will depart for the United States in the summer, pinpointing Gerrard as the benchmark in terms of role models within the game. "The way he plays, with his passing, his leadership on the pitch," said the forward. "He can score goals, he can tackle, he can do everything. "Aside from that there are the leadership qualities in the dressing room and at the training ground. "There's that respect from every player for what he's done in the game and what he still does. There are not many players out there playing in the game who have achieved what he has."
