Loftus Road, home of Queens Park Rangers.

Irish youngster Ryan Manning is stuck in limbo because of an ongoing dispute between QPR and Galway United about how much money should be paid in compensation for the Ireland Under-19 international.

Manning officially joined Rangers on January 1, but has only been able to play in friendly matches against Millwall and Sampdoria as he has yet to receive his international clearance.

QPR’s international clearance form states that the compensation fee is £45,000. Galway claim it is £60,000.

An FAI spokesman told the Brent & Kilburn Times: “An International Transfer Certificate is usually dealt with by the Football Association of Ireland but it didn’t happen in this instance because of a dispute between QPR and Galway over some details.

“After 15 days the ITC passes over to the home association. The matter is now being dealt with by the English FA, QPR and Galway United.”

Needs to be sorted out quickly for the sake of the lad, I mean £15k, it seems really petty especially when juxtaposed with what our long term bench warmers are getting PER WEEK!

This is a young lad who is over the moon about QPR. Get it sorted Mr Beard.

There must be more to this than what figure was included on a form...surely? Either way, I agree this needs to be sorted the sake of the young footballer. He sounds an excellent prospect.

This can't be true, can it? All this over 15k to a team that could probably really do with the money, I just hope this is lazy journos.

Other way around mate, but yes, your point is probably absolutely right.

Galway were probably expecting £60k (i.e. €80k), and QPR were probably expecting to pay €60k (i.e. £45k).

Current exchange rate is approx €1 = £0.74, so stg£45000 would be roughly €60800........

why don't the club ever defend themselves against stories like this? If it is true it is scandalous. The money that has been wasted previously . Turn out 2 of the floodlights Tony that'll save a 20 quid

By defending itself, the club would probably only give credence to what is likely to be a load of bollox.
