I wasn't having a go at your lad, I was having a go at you yer old fart. You must be a joy when ye go for a meal! Meat and two veg me like!
It was ok, not a dish we would get again but rowshuni excelled themselves on the bhuna prawn i must say, be going back for that
I prefer to cook my own Asian food nowadays (or get my missus to make it) than get a takeaway - more rewarding and cheaper
Next time, get her a Phal and ask for extra chillies, then you'll not see her for a few days you might hear her screams coming from the toilet, but stick some tunes on yer headphones mate, job sorted
It's a while since I have had a phal...However, I swear by them if I have a cold or chest infection as it they always seem to clear it up..
Only tried one once, drunk obviously. Didn't enjoy it due to numbness in my mouth, cold sweats and the top of my head felt like it was on fire I love hot spicy food, although a Vindaloo is about my limit now, anything hotter and I just don't enjoy it.
If I ever eat Indian food again it would have to be prawns or pork. Not touching that halal ****e again.
Find an Indian restaurant/takeaway run by Sikh's or Hindu's mate, they'd never touch Halal meat in a million years. Most of them are veggies but on principle they'd avoid Halal. Try Paneer instead by the way, it's an indian cheese, nice alternative to a meat curry.
This will probably sound stupid, but how do you know? I know halal has that written symbol where someone having a stroke was tasked with writing the word. At school they used to say if you're thinking it someone else is too.
How do I know what pal? That Paneer tastes nice? I've had it. Reference the other stuff, one of my closest friends is Indian and I'm the type of person who incessantly probes for information from somebody if they come from a different background to me, not in an offensive way of course, otherwise he'd not be my mate for long. I find people's cultural differences fascinating. If you mean how would I know if I was fed Halal or not, I couldn't with beef although no Indian should serve you beef. Lamb I don't eat and chicken I'd tell every time, you could mix 50 bits of halal chicken with 50 bits of free range and I'd separate them perfectly 50/50, even in a marinade, I'd have to taste them obviously. I always ask, fortunately these restaurants think I'm asking because I want Halal's so it works out well for me.
