to play all 5 loan signings from newcastle without question by lambias.

    Have you ever?

Rangers manager Kenny McDowall claims he has been told by the club that the five loan signings made from Newcastle must be in his starting XI if fit.

Midfielders Gael Bigirimana and Haris Vuckic and defenders Kevin Mbabu, Remie Streete and Shane Ferguson joined from the Premier League side on Monday.

Their parent club are owned by Rangers shareholder Mike Ashley.

McDowall says chief executive Derek Llambias and football board chairman Sandy Easdale told him the news.

Llambias, who was previously chief executive at Newcastle, is one of twoAshley appointments to the Rangers board alongside finance director Barry Leach.

Interim manager McDowall, who took over from Ally McCoist when he was placed on gardening leave on 19 January, recently handed in his notice to resign.

He is now working a 12-month notice period.

"I have handed in my notice and have told the guys I am happy to take the team. So I am not going to complain," McDowall said.

"I will carry out the instructions that they give me and do my best. I have a job to do and I am happy to do it.

"The boys have come up to play and they will play. That's just how it is."

Ashley, who owns 8.92% of the Ibrox outfit, provided them with a £10m loan in January to ensure they stay in business.

While £5m was available as immediate working capital, the influx of cash was also used to repay a £3m loan made by the Newcastle United owner last year.

So now Ashley really is running things.

He has them financially dependant on him, installed his henchmen, loaned them players and now he`s picking the team.

    Incredible.

Does that last line say that part of the £10m he's just loaned them was to repay himself the £3m he lent them last year?

    Incredible.

To be fair, I have no idea if these 5 are any better than what they already have so it might be a good thing on the pitch. In which case their fans will rapid shut up.

Not only, but he's now lending them money to pay back his previous loan.

And to pay him the loanees wages, at the end of which he`ll still have the players and Rangers will still owe him the loan.

With Ashley it`s a matter of business and making even more money.

The fact that football is involved is a mere by product.

He clearly lives by the motto, "Take care of the pennies and the pounds will take of themselves".

For a billionaire he seems to love getting involved with small sums, flipping it and making quick profits.

I bet he gets right **** Xmas presents for his family, all from Sports Direct, the returns department.

To be fair, I reckon most of those players would improve the first team anyway. That being said, apart from Bigi, the remaining players are worth nothing so perhaps this is a genius way of Ashley upping their values and selling them on!

Fat Mike has us well trained in accountancy rather than caring about trophies nowadays. I'm almost positive I can now work as a management accountant ;)

While somebody else pays their wages with money he`s loaned them. Brilliant.

Including these five players in the team maybe isn't as daft as it looks. Rangers are highly unlikely to get automatic promotion to the Premier League. They're sixteen points adrift of Hearts who are looking unstoppable this season. Rangers do have two games in hand, but they're not bound to get six points out of those - this is an interesting division this year, and Hibs just tanked Rangers 4-0 a few weeks ago! So I think Hearts are home and dry for the automatic place. On the other hand, Rangers are six points ahead of losing a play-off place with three games in hand over fifth-placed Falkirk. It's going to be very hard for Falkirk to catch them.

So if Ashley wants five young Newcastle loanees to get experience there, that's no real hardship to Rangers. They can virtually say goodbye to auto-promotion, and are pretty safe for a play-off place anyway. In exchange for a life-saving loan, I reckon it's worth their while.

If Ashley's plan gets Rangers promoted via the playoff tie by beating the 11th team in SPL, it's genius.

I hope Rangers are back amongst the European places by this time next year in the SPL, using Newcastle's **** loaners.

That would finally prove just how **** the SPL is.

So who is the feeder club? Newcastle or Rangers?

Get Rangers in the SPL in a few years, attract players with the CL, if they cut it, move them to the Prem with Newc.

I think the hearing about Ashleys involvement with Rangers is in March. That could be interesting.
