Sky are reporting PB's position at the club is under review. True or not? I certainly think there are far better people out there to do the job. PB I thought was brought in solely to push the new stadium forward, I was very surprised when he was made CEO. Although I doubt he has any true powers. I do think the club would be far better off making his position one of stadium matters only, smothering he's very good at. He had certainly resided over the club during a very turbulent time and although I doubt he has true power, he certainly hasn't brought anything to the job.
I thought he was brought in to deliver the training ground and stadium - however, Mark Donnelly is the one actually delivering them. So not sure what Beard's role is regarding the stadium
If that's the case then maybe this has something to do with it? QPR chairman Tony Fernandes blasts transfer 'mistakes' under Harry Redknapp Fernandes said: "I've had many messages from supporters, of all ages, who aren't - for one reason or another - satisfied with what's going on at QPR at the moment, but I can reassure all Rangers fans that we are putting the building blocks in place to move things in the right direction for the future. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...s-transfer-mistakes-under-Harry-Redknapp.html
Cheap words making mistakes year after year is hardly putting the buildings blocks to move things in the right direction - we're in a no better position (& probably worse financially) than when the Goons were in charge. Also says that "Premier League survival is our priority in the short term" - really then having a completely imbalanced squad doing nothing about it during the transfer window followed by the manager departing 2 weeks after confirming his job was safe is really showing that priority
Too scared to face the fans at a fans meeting. Been on borrowed time ever since. Incompetent in the role. I'm guessing "review" will mean being moved sideways as he is clearly a Tony man.
If yesterday's job shifts are anything to go by, I predict he won't be CEO for very long.... I reckon he'll be the new Chief Executive Director by tonight.
PB is very good with stuff outside football. Sadly when it comes to football he hasn't got a scooby. However he is just the person we need for the new stadium development. If TF gives him the push then i would start asking questions about the reality of the stadium. I can see him getting a job title of 'New stadium development executive' or something like that.
While his rep from London 2012 is huge the more recent evidence from his time at QPR doesn't support your opinion. The ongoing fiasco about a new training ground culminated recently in us - a Premier League club for pity's sake - without a place to prepare for vital fixtures due to the weather. And the fact that Car Giant are no longer even willing to talk to the club about the new stadium tells you all you need to know about his negotiating skills. All this on top of his involvement in the contractual side of big money transfers which have made us a laughing stock. Time's up Phil.
