I do this. Only with plums rather than apples. I feel that scale and colour are central to fruit based phallic japery. I sometimes slightly peel the banana for comfort, hygiene and religious observatory reasons. I do a mini version with baby sweetcorn and cherry tomatoes. A maxi one with canteloupes and a marrow. The hours simply fly by. Bruce out, BTW.
