Thoughts, i know we havnt been linked with him, but i was quite impressed with him whilst he was on loan at the mackem scum.... I think he is better than sturidge, and i would happily pay top dollar for him. My first topic, break me in gently hahaha
He would be good, but he is nothing on Sturridge and Sturridge is nothing on Mario Gomez or Hoarau ATM
have to disagree - i would take sturridge over wellbeck, but who knows depends if their clubs want to send them out on loan or not. i dont think wellbeck is going out on loan again, but who knows about sturridge, is a new manager coming in a good thing or a bad thing for him. They usually grab a few players from their old club so he may be further down pecking order, or depends if anelka / drogba are still there
Don't really rate him too be honest. I am really struggling to think of a striker we could realistically (either that would want to come or we would shell the cash out for) get that I would consider good enough. i don't think either Sturridge or Welbeck would be a better option, financially or footballing wise, than giving Best a run in the side with Ba!!!
we all want to go shopping in marks n sparks for a bit of quality but judging by whats been happening and whats being said mr ashley is hoping to find a bargain in netto just hope graham car goes with him
He's no Sturridge but I'd have Welbeck, so long as it was permanent deal or loan with option to buy. Think anything over 10m is too much though, even that's a stretch.
Id rather have Sturridge. But Id take either of them on loan to improve are striker option's. Also my claim at fame. I met Danny Welbeck in Zante last year! Seemed like a nice guy let me and my mates take a photo with him, but he was driving like a nutter up and down the strip on a quadbike with a different girl holding on to the back of him everytime he drove past (such a player ) But could of easily had an accident and ended his career
Won't be going anywhere I suspect but a good player. Nothing much between them in terms of ability but very different players. We need goals and Sturridge is more likely in that regards. Be a cracking double signing I reckon! Unfortunately we haven't got two rusty coins to rub together with all these agents fees, undersoil heating, signing on fees, wages etc.
