I tend to type without looking at the keyboard or going back to check if stuff is right (call it arrogance, but I usually get it right on the first go). However, I'm not an inhuman spelling machine, I will make the odd mistake, apologies.

With regards to multiculturalism, it depends on what you are looking for. Take Britain for example; we live in a country that relies very heavily on imports from other countries, for a number of products. This is why it annoys me when I see stuff from far right groups wanting to "make Britian British." Oh, ok, well let's get rid of everything that isn't made in Britain. Anything by Apple then, pretty much every mobile phone, television or other electrical device you own is already gone. The fuel we get to run our cars? Gone. The cars themselves, also gone. We have imported so much stuff that other cultures have imprinted themselves onto ours; people in Japan were crazy for mobile phones, Pokemon and sushi long before we were and yet now pretty much everybody has a phone, anybody under 30 has come into contact with pokemon at some point and the less said about sushi the better. We drive foreign cars, we eat foreign food; McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Subway, Tapas, we even have American themed resteraunts (in our area alone there's Aunt Bibby's, Rebel's, Liberty Diner and at least 3 Frankie and Benny's). I mean just for fun, go around your home and have a look at how much stuff you own that was sourced and made in Oz, unless you're a real home bird I doubt you'll find much. Therefore, we're taking other countries social habits and merging it into our own culture.

The biggest thing for me is that our own culture is based entirely around people from other countries coming here and settling down; in the past 3000 years we've had Saxons (from Germany), Celts (from Ireland), Picts (from Scotland, not part of of Britain at the time), Vikings (from Scandanavia), Romans (from Italy) and Normans (from France). If that's what makes a British person's culture up, isn't it a bit hypocritical to then turn away anybody from another country who could contribute to our society, given the impact that those people had on our history? There's a large Eastern European population in Hull, but most of them work in low paying labour based jobs because our money goes further than theirs back home, I don't see a problem with that at all because they're paying taxes and contributing to the community. I mean, people complain that they're taking our jobs, but how many English run hand-car washes did you see before they were set up by Albanian/Kosovan/Romanian people? They aren't entitled to benefits either until they've been living (and working) here for a year and even then there are stricter regulations than you might think. The people that come over here just for benefits are largely a myth, yes there are some that screw the system, but ultimately they've come here to earn a better wage, how can you fault that? When British people go to the USA, Norway, Oz and New Zealand, it's the same deal for us. People of all walks of life, all religions (which should never be as big a deal as it's made out to be), all races should be allowed to enter and live in our country if it's for the benefit of those already living there and they're going to contribute.

And on Ince, I'm not sure why it hasn't worked out, I can only assume that Bruce thought he was getting a lower league gem on the cheap, but it's turned out to be more expensive than he'd planned and he isn't really worth what we've paid.

You haven't answered the question at all. Multiculturalism hasn't worked in any Country in the world and never will.
The culture and religious divides are far too great. I hear Rotherham is to be renamed Mosque-o.

But, we digress Sterling, the thread is about Ince and I know I am not on my own when, after all the fuss about his signing, Management decided to loan him out, bring him back and then loan him out again with a view to a permanent deal. Ince must have had something to offer if Italian Serie A Clubs were interested in him.
Just seems so odd to me.

P.S. It's Pokemon - restaurants - Scandinavia. My spell-checker is indeed the American version and I still have trouble with 'colour' 'favour' and 'honour' for which it tells me to miss the 'u' out and 'defence' with which it replaces the 'c' with an 's'!

P.P.S. With regards to your epic post and the Norman invasion, I have to tell you that my ancestry goes back to 1066 (and all that) where my ancestors were Norman Knights. They spread out all over Britain with slight changes to the spelling of my surname.

Ince's 'I started the first few games and got man-of-the-match in a few of them' comment hasn't gone down very well with Forest fans...

So Tom run that past me again - when exactly did you get awarded MOM in any games you said that you played in? You were part of the problem as we nosedived when you turned up - utter waste of time and money.

‏@emilygretton - Ince says he got man of the match in a few of the games he started?! I must have been watching different games! #NFFC

All the evidence suggests that he's just a bit of a ****. Remember his patronising / offensive / egotistical (delete as appropriate) comments when signing for us? Good riddance.

Embracing immigration and embracing multiculturalism are very, very different things. Try not to use them interchangeable.

Tom Ince is the problem in the dressing room, Bruce constantly leaves him out of the starting XI and has twice shipped him out on loan. My feeling is he has caused a few disruptions in the dressing room!

    Your ancestors were Normans?

Mine were Danish aristocrats who came over with Cnut the Great.

Give me back my land in East Yorkshire, French twat.

Can you explain why having people from a different religion in our country is a bad thing? (Without breaking the forum rules, there's a challenge!) Multiculturalism is working fine in most parts of Britain; I went to uni in Leicester and it's about as multicultural as you can get and it benefits the city massively. You still get the odd dickhead trying to cause problems, but for the most part the different parts of the community all come together and support each other. Most of the problems I encountered came from white British people kicking off.

Luckily many have been shipped to Australia where, as immigrants from a massively different culture to the natives, they have, ironically, become extremely critical of co-immigrants, from other cultures, who they seemingly consider to be encroaching upon their own cultural tootsies.
