Surely, even if you don't like rugby in general, you have to love the Six Nations and the World Cup? The passion and patriotism is stunning to watch, and it makes a welcome change from watching the wimps of the Premier League when you see the physicality on display.

"Soon it'll sell out to Sky like the Cricket and Golf." ...and Football. But it doesn't stop me loving football.

Nothing quite compares with pre match singing of the Welsh Anthem at Cardiff. That's if you have any Welshness about you.

I cant wait for it, love the six nations and nice to see a bit of pride in supporting a national team. My rugby club will be rammed and will be a great atmosphere and a good night.

love it much better than watching Wales football any day of the week. Football can learn a lot from rugby in terms of how to behave and enjoy yourself. Just love the 6 nations.....

The advent of the Six Nation's usually produces a thread along these lines.

Some football fans' just don't like rugby. Mind you, some rugby fans' don't like football.

But hey,it's Wales, and the country thrives on the success of it's rugby team.

So,why not get behind them? Get with the "hwyl". <cheers>

Before the regions used to have a season ticket for the All Whites as well as the Swans.. Not so keen on rugby these days as it's more like pseudo American football.

I've booked my seat and can't wait for the best annual rugby tournament in the world to start.

I don't see any team winning a Grand Slam this year as Wales, Ireland and France have strong squads. England are already whining about their injuries and Italy are Italy. Scotland could be a surprise, Glasgow Warriors are a superb team, but I doubt they have the strength in depth.

Ireland are the best in Northern Hemisphere right now but they do have to play us in a 'winner takes all' battle at the Millennium.

    Prediction
    Ireland - 8pts
    Wales - 8pts
    England - 6pts
    France - 4pts
    Scotland - 2pts
    Italy - zippo

I dont think you will be far away. I think for us and ireland will depend on injuries. I am with you and cant wait, the boys at gowerton u15's are training early tomorrow night before a big game in the ospreys cup against Uplands on Sunday. Win and we will have a home semi final. Then all in to the club and going to watch the game and have a shed full. The only problem is going to have a right hang over at the game on saturdy.

I fancy the Irish myself but you cant write off England either even with some players missing. Wales i would put in as a fair chance of finishing top but my £20 will be on Ireland this season...
