re: debate on rodgers.... sorry but if lads aint actually good why would he pick them???? ojo is a fine example. he's been played at LWB for the kids recently and now loanded. he was that bloody bad at the slot rodger thought he might give the lads a go in that he decided nah get him out on loan so he might learn something.

Sincliar is far from the level required to play. rossiter is only ok... brannigan looks fine at u21 but not sensior level.

The fact is we are not derby etc we are not going to develop players... period.

you can say the same of cheslea, city, and utd... even look at southampton. they are going to buy and buy now they are at a certain level. 5 kids are not going to emerge form their academy every year and i'd be surprised if they don't go nuts with money.

Unless they are given a chance nobody really knows if they are good enough or not.

  3. Flanno did impress under Kenny at first but his performance levels quickly dropped off. There were many saying he sold be sold on as he wasn't good enough and wouldn't ever make it in the first team. When Brod named him in the team nobody expected it and there were quite a few worried fans about prior to kickoff too. To not give Brod any credit is ridiculous IMO.

Much like people claiming he lucked out with players and formations. Hell, Fergie must have lucked out for 26yrs by that reckoning <doh> (this isn't apop at you btw)

  4. Don't mention them, only Brod can be credited for their involvement :bandit:

Yep, Flanno did impress initially but if I recall correctly, he got sent off against Blackburn and simply didn't recover.

He got a call up under Rodgers out of desperation, and to his credit, he did a decent job. <ok>

And that's kind of my whole point here. Players, written off or not rated as highly in the academy or reserves can, when given an opportunity, step it up at senior level. They need that chance and in my opinion, Rodgers doesn't give enough of them a shot before deeming them not good enough and shipping them off. They should at least get 30minutes in a cup game ffs before writing off their whole career.

No one can say Sinclair, Rossiter or Brannigan will or won't make it at senior level because they've never seen them there. Players need the opportunity to show what they can do at the top level or they'll never get there even if they are talented enough to do so.

Henderson was wrote off by Rodgers but because we ended up unable to flog him in a deal for Dempsey and then due to injuries, he's made it. He's even been ****ing promoted to VC under Rodgers!

He doesn't give enough players a chance imo.
