Firstly I didn't suggest for one minute that we should bring in a 'name' I would like to see Luiz play the holding role as although he makes the odd rash tackle he is a great defensive player but his passing range is sensational and would be able to whip a pass forward to take advantage of any space left by the attacking team. Ramires also has a good passing range and would be very well suited to the role and I am hoping that Essien has a better season as when he has played in that position he'll win the ball and make one of his trade mark runs forward and put the opposition under pressure. So there's three players I would have ahead of Mikel and therefore I deem him surplus to requirements and why I would like to recoup some of the money we spent on him while we can.

I would be careful when addressing people that have different opinion than yours as 'idiots' and that we are 'Irish plastics' and that we should go back and 'support Man U' as Mikel is a player that divides opinion and there are plenty of intelligent long term Chelsea fans that simply don't think he's good enough. The group of guys I go to games with are all season ticket holders and have a mix of backgrounds but we are all agreed that Mikel is someone that we would like to see sold.

With all due respect one, I've been sat behind way too many Chelsea fans at games that cant see wodd for the trees! Ihad to listen to people spout on about Droga being petulant , not trying blah blah blah, when I'm watching the smae damn games and seeing him running his socks off and being the only effective striker on the pitch. In a squad were him and remirez are the two youngest in our midfield, with the others being 28, 30,31, and 34 respectivley i.e essien, benayoun, zirkov( who wants to leave) and Lamps, you reckon we should get rid of the 24 year old?? Seriously????

Different opinions is all well and good, but ffs a little bit of thought first, and no this is not a personal attack at you , before you bunch your knickers.

We need a long term replacement for Lamps like now!

Luiz should stay at the back and learn his trade, yes he has nice ball control, but we bought him for central defence, help take pressure of JT who fitness will need to be managed.

Mikel for Chelsea and Mikel for Ghana are two different things.

That's very true as Mikel can never get in the squad for Ghana let alone the team -------because he plays for Nigeria! (sorry couldnt avoid highlighting this and being sarcastic)

Sorry knew that was wrong one, but was at work work and could not be bothered to correct, but if you watch the ANC you will see the mikel does a lot more runs forward for them than he does for us.

We have Luiz, Alex and Ivanovic who are all fine centre backs that could sit alongside JT so we have plenty of options and giving Luiz some games as a holding midfielder rather than Mikel seems like a good idea and would give us more options turning defence into attack.

I can't see Benayoun getting much game time next season and Zhirkov needs to be sold. At 28 Essien is hardly old! If he could get back his form we could get another 4 seasons out of him at least. Lamps does need a long term replacement, and we are looking at attacking midfielders and most Chelsea fans have great hope for Josh to step up into that role at some point.

As for selling a 24 year old, yes I would sell him. Why keep someone that hasn't become the player we hoped he would just because he isn't 30? Ramires is 24 and gives us more options in that position so sell a 24 year old and replace him with a 24 year old already in the squad. Luiz is also 24 years old. So we lose a 24 year old and have two 24 year olds and a 28 year old that all can play that position. If we need to replace Mikel I would like to see us move for Tiote who again I believe to give more options as a defensive midfielder.

I can be accused of many things, but not thinking about these things seriously isn't something that can be levelled at me, even if you disagree with what I say.

Playing in the ANC and playing in the Premier league are very different things. Firstly Mikel is one of Nigeria's better players (they're not the team they used to be)and playing against the likes of Burkino Faso and Benin isn't quite the same as coming up against world class players every week.

Ok We agree on Zirkov and Benyoun, but sorry Essien, who I adore, has had some serious Knee injuries, and I'd rather have someone able to take the pressure off him, We've had lots of players
who have not gone on to waht we expected of them, but seriously the player before mikel was Maka, thats like being the rebound guy for the girlfiend of a 15" porn star, your never going to measure up!

Two Words "West Ham" ok that was a cheap shot, but the ANC is not as bad as it used to be , and considering when it starts half our teams disappears , not even close to reality anymore. Plus considering Englands recent performances , we may not even be that standard anymore :(
