His knee is a complete cover, does anyone seriously think an operation on his leg stops him managing? He isnt a ****ing long distance runner. Graeme Souness didnt leave his job when he had a triple heart bypass operation. And anyway, even if it was about his knee he mustve known for ages that he needed this op. He didnt knack his knee yesterday did he? So why would he conveniently quit the day after Transfer Deadline Day so nobody else could sign any players?
