Was it all just media spin or was America the 'total nuts' during the 1980's?

They had all the best sportsmen and women, the were kicking the **** out of the Russians in the space race and every decent programme on tv seemed to come from 'across the pond'... add your own argument with examples...<party>

The world had just discovered money, and they had the most. It. (money). was and is more powerful than socialism. 12 percent of the worlds population consuming 20 percent of the worlds natural resources, things had to change. Performance enhancing drugs were a big help though, till the eastern block found out, started using them and then they cried CHEAT.

Please tell me you're living up to your name Joker. The vast majority of 80s American TV was a load of vacuous ****.

Most television programmes from any nation are "vacuous ****" friend, but as a kid I hadn't really grasped just how ****ing **** television was.

Knight Rider, The A-Team, Dukes of Hazzard, The Fall Guy etc etc all total **** now but they were great when you're young. Much like most pop music.
