Congratulations Brighton - one almighty bullet dodged. Hopefully we're his last contract in Football and he goes on to develop a nice gambling habit - because everyone else lost their shirt on him.
Quite different, as you well know. As far as I can tell, there's only one remark on here, which is a rather old, tired euphemism for anal sex (which I understand the Cooler Cats now practice on their ladies too these days....apparently). I read that comment, thought nowt, and carried on. I had to read the thread back after DTs remark because I couldn't recall anything remotely homophobic, so I clearly need to sign up for some form of awareness training, I guess. What are the rules these days anyway? I've heard gays of my acquaintance referring to each other using the most appalling language at times. I'd best not join in the laughter next time, right?
Not quite sure what the rules are at present. The last thing we'd want to do is offend anyone's practice or culture. I know that when my first daughter was born 30 years ago, their was a hotel across the road from the hospital so my father and brother took me over the 'whet the baby's head'. Unbeknownst to me, it was a 'blue bar' and when it was time to go, my brother said to me when getting off the chairs ........ ... that if any waiter / bartender offers to push your stool in, keep walking, fast! Anyway, that was time ago and was said in jest and l know things have changed in todays market and people, myself included are more liberal in their thinking.
It depends who you ask, I guess. Do as you see fit and act in good faith. That's all anyone can really do in life, I suppose.
The West Pier maybe? He'll be in the 25 anyway as we've surely enough places spare, alongside spark and jude.
I did see the post that you all were referring to yesterday. I thought at the time that it was a bit odd but didn't want to draw any attention to it as it didn't deserve any. It was distasteful and inappropriate but not homophobic. I could of deleted it but deliberately chose not to.
