We've pocketed 4 million for Mutch and stolen a march on our rivals while they navigate the tricky 10 game gelling period.

    All hail our illustrious leaders!

Edit: Realising this is not really a thread, rather than a sarcastic comment, if anyone else fancies trying to put a positive spin on our transfer exploits then please do!

Like Chris Samba we got our money back on Mutch - no Bony scenario where Swansea made money on their original investment.

I'm not sure of the last time we did make a profit on a player? Sterling's compensation perhaps?

We did manage to skillfully swerve the tabloid "Zarate Chop" headline.

It was genius move - appearing not to know the rules regarding loan players, leaving the whole thing to the last minute and looking really stupid. Bravo, QPR!

To preserve what's left of our tattered dignity and the shreds of our self respect, I suggest that we collectively pretend that we really didn't want to sign or loan any players this window, Zarate was a favour to Fat Sam, and we are delighted with the strength in depth of our hugely talented squad. If we all try hard enough this will become the truth, we'll all believe it, just like we believe that a poor pre season, the totally unexpected loss of Remy, new (in the summer) players needing to gain match fitness and 'gel', and a fat kid called Adel are the causes of us getting 2 points from the last 6 games.

Come on, you've got to try harder than that.

Its all part of Swiss Tony's long term strategy to flummox the Football League & our opponents.

A few seasons back we bought more goalkeepers than we could ever need. Last season we bought or loaned 463 midfielders. This season we don't buy any strikers even though we're desperate.

If we can't understand our owners & management staff then I'm sure no-one else can.

I predict a guilty due to insanity plea against FFP rules - its the only logical reason for the ongoing Tony & 'Arry comedy act
