I'm gonna bite and say I only volunteered as I'll be on loads (uni student and got **** all better to do!), not bothered if I am a Mod or not just thought I'd give a bit back to the community! Still could be worse, I could be stalking my rival fans on their board without even posting. Anyways not that it counts but my vote goes to Absolutely Glorious! In all seriousness though: Syd, Cest or Pyscho imo - they're the mackems who will be the most laid back patter/banter wise and will let both sides have their fun
Syd gets my vote. He can get the job done and wouldn't be heavy handed or arrogant about it. But we can't have just one mod, can we?

What do you mean if he wants it? The people have spoken and that's that! About your second point, if we could maybe get someone from a different timezone (not me, I'm only GMT+3) to keep an eye on things when the UK users (and Syd) are offline.
I vote for Syd too. If bigchris gets it I will probably never come back here ever again and I don't think I will be alone. Were all still waiting for that press conference that was supposed to start 17 hours ago.
Why dont we have a forum poll ......then the people who want to do it can put reasons why they should be a mod ,run it for 24 hours let the members decide. think you will need 2 though lot of work for 1 person as its a 24 hour site
Now the way that I see it, there are two candidates - Syd and Big Chris. I think that I would have to say Syd, given the wisdom that he has acquired through life experience. My only concerns are - 1. If Big Chris doesn't get it, will he stop providing inside information. I think we all agree that we could not get by without this reliable and so far never wrong input. And, 2. Would Syd stop me from taking my laptop to bed with me.
We obviously need a few moderators on this site, and I'd like to be one of them. I have experience in such a role, and have the necessary qualities. Most from '606' know me, would agree with this appointment, and I don't think anybody would have any objections. I also believe that Cyprussyd and Cest would help to make a very strong team. Depending on how many are needed 'Ballin' Boy' would be a benefit, too. I also believe that moderators shouldn't be restricted to the team they support, 'cos fans of other teams will need help and protection from arseholes, too.
I'm with going for more than 1 mod as it's going to be a fair old bit of work I reckon. Syd is certainly a candidate but I don't want to pressure anybody into taking this role unless they REALLY want to - might it also cut back on the number/quality of his posts?? Actually thinking about it - SYD has my vote

Lads lets not forget, the main job of a Mod on here will be to dump racist posts. Or anyone threatening another member or releasing personal information. This isn't the BBC the craic will be flying, most of it will be policed by ourselves. As long as the more delicate members don't get their knickers in a twist over bad language and keep reporting it, the mods should have very little to do.
