MailSport can exclusively reveal Ronny Deila may not have to wait until the summer to land the PSV Eindhoven star on a Bosman deal. Bakkali is stalling on a new deal with the Dutch club. That’s left the door open for Celts to swoop before tomorrow night’s transfer window deadline. PSV director of football Marcel Brands is aware of Deila’s interest and would rather sell the player now than allow him to agree a pre-contract with another club. That would only pocket PSV around £200,000 in a development fee – that’s why they would accept £750,000 hard cash for him now. Bakkali’s agent Marcel Veerman said: “I don’t know anyone who lives for football more than Zakaria. Money is not the motive for him. “He wants to leave PSV because of sporting reasons.” The 19-year-old Belgium international is on Deila’s radar after falling out of favour with boss Phillip Cocu. He shot to fame in August 2013 by becoming the quickest player in PSV history to score a hat-trick when he bagged a treble against NEC Nijmegen. But he hasn’t progressed the way Cocu had hoped and Celtic are one of a number of clubs interested in snaring the youngster who is of Moroccan descent.

Anybody think the Armstrong deal will be done today?? Think we are quite weak in terms of numbers in central midfield if you're going to play 3 and he would definitely add more creativity but don't understand why the Arabs would sell now?? I know he has 18 months left but if he keeps this form up until summer they could still get decent money for him. I just wonder who has been leaking the bids.

GMS is nothing special imo, hope to be proved wrong but FFS we will have him in few months anyway, would much prefer to do deal for Armstrong now. If we don't raise to £2m I'd hope it was because we got a centreback in mind
