Weighty mate I've been a Town supporter for 40 years so believe me I don't get sucked in by the hype! I'm just really pissed off that a club of our stature has been reduced to this! Bargain basement freebies and young kids. I believe in Mick McCarthy and Terry but I don't believe our owner believes in the football club. He bought our debt for 6 million but charges us interest on the 36 Million! Look at the top 8 and just see the signings they are making and then compare that to ours. The team has exceeded all of our expectations thanks to Mock and Terry but just how long will the good form last? Judging by the Wigan game we are going to struggle. But hey I will keep supporting Towan it's in the blood! <ok>

Well nobody knows.....but we have about 20 games left and I'm guessing that if we take Micks worst 20 game spell in charge of us and replicated it till the end of the season I think we would still be in the playoffs......If that makes sense............and I for one think it's better to have a team achieve against the odds rather than success from a cheque book.

Weighty you misunderstand me I think and apologies if I am not being clear.

Our lack of squad strength could cost us and the fact that we couldn't fill all the subs bench against Millwall is embarrassing quite frankly! McGoldrick is not the player he was last year, Parr our best full back can't get a game, Chambers is playing out of position, Ando is crap, and if Murphy gets a bad injury where are the goals coming from? No one in Midfield has scored more than 2 Goals which is diabolical!

Back in 99/00 Burley went out and bought a certain Marcus Stewart for 2.5 Million in March and the rest as they say.... Those were the days! Nowadays we can't afford a pint of lager and packet if crisps! How's that for progress!

I'm not too familiar with the clubbing scene in Ipswich!

I was tripping the light fantastic in clubs around Cambridge at that time.

...and 8 games to play in the next 28 days which is a bad thing Weighty! Wake up mate, we do need 2- 3 new players, or shrewd loanees within next 10 days, and, as you say, improved coaching of the players we have. Performances have fallen, confidence ebbs away, our "star" players tired or losing motivation....and an ITFC Director quoted as saying that ME does not want to upset our chances of promotion!! Well, thats that then!

But I still admire and like Mick.....just please try the following for next 4 weeks:

Play Bish & Sears, bring in new wideman (the single weakest aspect at moment is the desparately poor crosses)
Cover at RB, change formation back to our most successful 433/343, and a creative ball-passing midfielder.
And, MM to change his preferred mindset and attack!

Cover at RB? We have PARR who should be starting every game at RB!

Most successful 3-4-3? When have we ever played this under Mick can I ask!?

Eight games in 28 days is a big ask isn't it. Really will define our season. 18 to play.....!

Glad the window has closed......we have signed 12+ players this season ....which in my opinion is too many....whatever happens this season ...I hope that in the summer we only bring in one or two players that are capable of being first team player rather than back up........I don't care how much they cost I care how good they are.

Westy, I meant fullbacks moving into attacking widemen positions. 433 on paper, then!
