Well that's OK then - draconian punishment for him.

we have a good record this year on red and yellow cards so we will not be losing players unlike a lot of the other teams

I've got no idea what it is. Having "jailbird" as captain, however rehabilitated he is? (N.B. that is NOT my opinion but I know how officials think). What I do say is that we're the victims more often than most. And no it doesn't even itself out over the season... the last time I remember getting a crass decision in our favour was November 2012 v Wolves when we got a penalty and Berra was sent off for DOGSO even though Deeney was fouled outside the box and got a shot away.
    All rather frustrating.

Yup, you're right regarding the rescinding of cards. Vydra, Doyley and Angella twice (both at Bournemouth) out of the last ten sendings off over four seasons.

In addition Pudil had a three match ban reduced to one match and there was insufficient video evidence to support an appeal for Ekstrand at Norwich.

Like I say I'm not one for conspiracy theories but this is ridiculous.

Is it really just us though Fez? I can't claim to be an expert on what happens in other teams' games but could it just be that the refereeing is just woeful in general? That said, and like you I don't do conspiracies, we do seem to get clobbered at the most inopportune times!

Well let's multiply a 40% epic fail by the referees over four seasons over all of the club's.... that would be ridiculous!
As we all know the officials tend to get things right for the vast majority of the time so these figures suggest we're suffering from some sort of bias or collective myopia from officials. Throw in a ghost goal, a soft penalty or three... you do begin to wonder...

Yes - the 3 points cannot be fought for again.

They should really make Bournemouth play their next game with 10 men!

Cooled off now. Only took a few days.

Our record against the top teams is a weakness though.

Perhaps the Bournemouth players should also apologise now for their overwrought (some would say cheating) reaction to Angella's challenge......

The referee at the centre of the controversial penalty decision that helped hosts Equatorial Guinea reach the African Nations Cup semi-finals has been banned for six months, CAF said in a statement on Tuesday.

Six months ban when they get it wrong? Why not. :emoticon-0126-nerd:

Perhaps Harry Arter should volunteer to take it for his near-crippling tackle on Munari.

Not some, vic - a large majority. Despicable cheats IMO...

A tackle by a Watford player in this now infamous match so bad even the local paper described it as 'awful'.Barely a mention on here though -imagine the uproar from some if had been the other way round.
Nowt as selective as some football supporters !!

Well we all can be one eyed at times although TBF most people have accepted Pudli's tackle was bad and deserved more punishment...

It could be argued if that Angella incident had been the way round some of our fans and players would have been screaming for a red...but then that does show how easy it is to maybe influence a ref's decision because they are allowed to get away with it?

I don't think the player fouled himself was appealing for a red though - much like Cathcart didn't dispute the penalty decision but a couple of others did.

Probably because by the time that tackle came along the game was rendered as moot. Barely a mention because it would be stating the absolutely obvious. Barely a mention because Probert saw it and didn't punish it. I would say that this cemented his unplanned mid season holiday.

Welcome back Nick, been a while - we must have won a couple of games!

Did comment on that tackle and wouldn't have complained if it was a red - but was arguably one of 3 red card decisions that was all incorrect, and natural that we are felt hard done by that we don't mention it with as much vigour as other decisions!

What did you think of the Angella red and the Arter not-red?

Not so long ago at all actually, he came up with some typical negative tripe earlier on in this thread. I, for one, do not welcome his return.
