He can't, can he? He could sign one with a foreign club. Kaboul's being linked with a £2.5m move the other way. Perhaps we'll swap? Seems rather unlikely.
We can't buy him and then loan him back, eg, like the reported Liverpool deal with Ings. Signing a pre-contract to move for a free at the end of his contract is different though, i think. He'd still be West Ham's until the summer? I'm not utterly sure.
For good reason too. If he plays in our upcoming game for West Ham, as a contracted Spurs player, that would be terrible for him him if he scored, say, an own goal. Or 5.
In that case we should stump up the money now. Even if its £6m, that is still cheap. We don't want that lot injuring our player over the next few months, or the player changing his mind.
Does anyone know anything solid about the Winston Reid deal? I’m thinking it may be made up by someone trying to come up with a new Judas story. I don’t know about loaning Adebayor without a new striker coming in. I realize his stock is at an all time low, but he did lead us in scoring two of the last four years, and seems likelier to be able to take over successfully from Kane than Soldado, I think. Unfortunately, since I like Soldado.
My impression is that Ade is no longer good for this dressing room. Our performances seem to dip with him on the pitch. For that reason i'd happily let him go without a replacement
I think we've persisted with Ade long enough, he's had just as many good moments as he has bad but ultimately you never know which Ade will turn up. At least with players like Kane and Eriksen, you know that even if they're off form they're still trying on the pitch, there's been so many times Ade looked like he'd rather be at home taking instagram pictures of himself wearing flashy gear and doing hippy signs rather than actually grafting on the pitch.
I've been plugging in to NewsNow every 5 minutes and there's a lot of contradictions so I don't know where we are.
Injuring him or giving him a dodgy E-Coli lasagne (they have form in that area). Seriously, with the fixture pile up we have coming up we could do with Reid now.
Emmanuel Sonupe has gone on loan to St Mirren, in the SPL until the end of the season. Its all happening at Spurs!!!
