You've read the prodigious anti Laudrup claptrap that comes out of "down town Gowerton",aka,Penclawdd? ? ?

I'm sure you have, but I don't seem to remember you posting that you find that "tedious".

Re the "likes",well they are a real hoot.

If you want a certain group to "like" you, just post how wonderful Monk is,and then stand by.

Just filter out the posters who irritate you, aswan,it's quite easy really.

I do it from time to time, until I miss the insanity. Then I reconnect for a good laugh, and a leg pull,or two.

    That's all. <laugh><laugh>

    https://twitter.com/bafgomis

Gomis tweeting that he's staying with Swansea and he's on board mentally too. Good to see, and good to publicly announce it before the window closes.

"I have decided to stay With Swansea. I wanted to share this With you before the end of the transferts Windows. It's the best choice for me."

"Even if i was sad before Because i didn't play a lot. Now everything is différent.I believe in this team and his project."

"I have spoken With the coach and I have his confident and he have mine. I am lucky to play and live to Swansea."

"everybody are very Kind and helpful With me. I'll do all my best to help the team 2 catch his goal.To all Swans fans i am jack!"

All the tweets are less than 15 minutes old at the time of this post.

Gomis has stated on his Twitter page today that he does not want to leave Swansea and is happy to be here and has spoken to Monk and is more than happy to remain at the club. He admits he was frustrated at not having enough game time but now things are different. Looking forward to rest of season.....

Good news are things starting to improve and settle down.

Well there was a definite improvement in his attitude and effort yesterday. He was also effective in defending set pieces at times too.

I am with you. I dont rate him. However maybe that has something to do with his poor attitude. Now he is staying hope to see a marked improvement.

Well now there's no more excuses so perhaps we'll see his true worth . he may never reach the heights that Wilf did but he's got a great deal going for him so let see what he can do .

Tbf, Bony is truly a world class striker. I think it would be unfair to compare Gomis to him, as regardless of how good he might become, he will most likely still fall short of Bony's level.

What does concern me is that I read or heard that his agent has said he is happy to stay here till the summer and see what happens from there. So dont believe he has committed to us. Still if he just puts it in while trying to attract the attentions of other clubs it give us time.

I agree. I see him leaving in the summer. Best thing he can do is shut up now, score some goals and then we can offload him and buy Bony's replacement in the summer.

At the moment that would be fine by me, if he plays anywhere near the level he's capable of then hopefully we'll both benefit and as you say it gives the club more time to bring a replacement in

A recent quote from him today :

Gomis said via Twitter: "I have decided to stay with Swansea. I wanted to share this with you before the end of the transferts (sic) window. It's the best choice for me."
"Even if I was sad before because I didn't play a lot. Now everything is different. I believe in this team and this project. I have spoken with the coach and I have his confident (sic) and he have mine. I am lucky to play and live to Swansea.
"Everybody are very Kind and helpful with me. I'll do all my best to help the team 2 catch his goal. To all Swans fans I am jack!"

    for now

Give the guy a chance I say, let's back the lad. Problem is so called journalists and bloggers have been crucifying him at times, I believe he is a quality player and has done ok. Yes he has spoken out but I believe it was through frustration and everyone including Monk and the rest of the squad are happy with him. I predict he will get double figures this season. Comparing him to Bony is grossly unfair, I watched him celebrate after we scored yesterday and he looked happy and committed to me. I may be wrong but time will tell.

Sbulby that means 9 goals in 15 games. Can't see that in anyway. If he gets 4 or 5 I will be happy. Just dont think he has the goals in him. Call me a bit of a cynic, but curious how this statement has come out right at the end of the window. What has changed in the last 3 weeks that has made him change his mind, maybe a lack of clubs interested in him.
