I wish we could go back to the days when bands used to knock out an album then throw all their equipment in the back of a transit and drive to a gig. Then when the gig was over load up the transit again and drive to the next gig.
I've been trying this for years. Unfortunately I'm still jamming to backing tracks in my bedroom. Good to her that there are others out there. I'll definitely be checking her out. Thanks for the tip!!
I'm getting a lot of tips tonight. I'm watching a video of her doing Voodoo Child and she definately has something
Me too. I'm an 80s child who grew up listening to his Dad's records and that's how I come to have such good taste.
Can anyone find out, if this lass is single. My jaw has hit the floor
Seen it Chicharito, it doesn't do her justice, me and my mate went in the Duck&Drake in leeds and saw this pretty little girl tuning an acoustic guitar and thought, What the ****, another xfactor wannabe, then she started playing her electric guitar, and it was jaw dropping. makes it look easy, it pissed me off for sure, couldn't pick my guitar up for ages.
Why can't I live somewhere where we get people like that playing in pubs and clubs. All we get here are ****ty bands playing the same stuff. All I hear are songs like Summer of 69, Dancing in the Dark, Sweet Home Alabama, Free Fallin etc played very badly.
Seen her loads of times in leeds Cheese, and spoken to her, i think she's single, but her mam and dad are at her gigs all the time so be wary, looks like she's lost a bit of timber as well, i think she's just released an album
Oi!! I Played Sweet Home Alabama a few months back at a gig, but yeah I guess it's generic (great solo however) Then I got completely burned out attempting to play Free Bird...
I'd like to think so. The crowd seemed to enjoy it, although it was NYE, so they were all pissed. I managed to get through 'Route 66' with my volume knob turned down whilst pretending to play and no one seemed to notice, completely forgot the song haha!!!!
the true test of a guitar player is how they handle an acoustic ; bert jansch, neil young , stephen stills are true masters of the art . ....in my humble opinion of course.
Completely agree... Neil Young's acoustic playing is phenomenal, His work on 'After the Gold Rush' and 'Harvest Moon' are amongst my favorites for sure. Although I also love Neil's unusual lack of precision electric style!!
