    Strong rumours of Santon going? Totally fine with this, we have not only a hugely capable left back already in Haidara, but also complete strength in depth across the defence anyway.

    ****ing hell, I thought this was a joke. Haidara and Dummett are just average, in Haidara's case, he is a bit simple (did have his best game against Hull despite some ******ed passing early doors). Santon frustrates me at times, bit of a pussy, goes forward at the wrong time and switches off. However he is ten times better than the other two (who are no better than each other)

    We're going backwards. Fast. Clearly we are thinking we are safe so lets just trim off the excess, like a piece of pork.

    The Chronicle is also now reporting that Santon is out of the door. According to Italian sources it's a free loan with an option to buy for a paltry 3.7million Euros:

    He's probably paid twice as much as Dummett and Haidara combined, so MA is no doubt indulging in a little trimming of the wage bill. How shockingly unpredictable. It's even better when you realise that Dummett is supposedly also covering our depleted CB position...

    Are we sure about this? Carver was talking up his return before the weekend and saying he would be involved on Saturday and he was in the squad. Mike is not the type to then go and undermine his manager by pulling the rug and selling the lad.

    Its great if it happens. I mean we've clearly got way too much talent at left back and far too many defenders anyway. If Janmaat gets a knock, young Satka will be getting a run or we'll have Anita at right back. We've got loads of natural cover and quality.

    NUFC are working hard today... Trying to strengthen Rangers. According to the Gazette, 4 players are due to be sent on loan there with Vuckic and Bigirimana possibly amongst them.

    For me Haidara has potential and has never had a run of even 6-8 games at LB to cement his place. Dummett is average at best at LB but looks a very solid CB for me.

    Not too fussed that Santon has gone, it's more from a lack of depth perspective that I'm bothered.
