For a few reasons.. A big one is dele is my wife's cousin and was told a few days ago that we was his choice to go and had no interest in NU or AV and only Liverpool would of changed his mind! He's having medical now last I heard also ITK on SC have also confirmed
Off Sky website - Harry Kane has signed a new 5 & half year contract - well done Harry and good work DL
How curious. According to the pineapple head guy at the Metro he was going to Madrid a few days back.
Good news about the Alli rumours having substance, a freelance journalist with over 70k followers on Twitter has confirmed he's having a medical. If Yehven Connor-drop-the-anchor is available from as little as £5m now, I think it's worthwhile to pursue, especially if Lennon leaves (which will be a shame, A 1m bargain who became a pivotal player in our rise back up the table into European spots), UNLESS Lennon leaving is a result of a player exchange with Everton for Mirallas, I don't think having Chadli, Lamela, Townsend, Mirallas and possibly Connor-drop-the-anchor is ideal, too many fighting for two spots in the starting XI. Regardless of who comes in or goes, I think Kane signing the new deal is and will be the best bit of news for us all day.
So far, our deals have been... A new contract for Mason A new contract for Kane A scout from Leicester A player we signed in the summer
Stoke linked with deals for Lennon and Adebayor. Don't suppose we have time to work out a deal where Shawcross comes our way, do we? Roma pull out of deal for Chiriches because of the asking price, but are willing to loan in Kaboul with a view to make the deal permanent - which would mean Roma have become an Italian Swansea City for us.
Except Swansea sold us Gylfi at a more reasonable price than Roma sold us Lamela. I agree the best news we'll have all day is Kane signing a new contract. But that really is good news. If someone told me in Sepetember we'd sign the leading scorer in the Prem to a five year deal right at the end of the January transfer window I would have been very happy about it, if a little disbelieving. The fact he's one of our own does nothing to detract from that. Rather the opposite. One reason I might not want Cabaye, or anyone who might compete for a spot with homegrown players, is that the latter look like the way forward.. Squads can get an extra degree of cohesion and desire, I think, if there is at least a core who come from the team's program. The '68 Celtic team comes to mind.
We bought Gylfi off Hoffenheim and paid his release clause(I think). Swansea had him on loan and were trying to sign him along with us and Liverpool.
Latest random rumour: FC Koln reject two bids for their 22-year old Austrian centre back Kevin Wimmer, the first a straight transfer and the second a transfer with us loaning him back for the rest of the season. The mere sight of him will strike fear into the hearts of our opponents . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . please log in to view this image
But some exciting deals have gone through nationally - already we've have Nathan Buddle (Blyth to Carlisle, undisclosed)
Potential 'logjams' that might trigger some activity when they go through. WBA are selling a striker and apparently want Ade on loan, as do a few other clubs. If they make a move upon selling their man then that might force a hand or two from West Ham or some others who are apparently interested in Ade. Will we be left with only 2 strikers? Who knows eh.... Also, in non-Spurs news, once Schurrle leaves Chelsea, which he will have to do within the hour due to when the German transfer window shuts, that will presumably allow Chelsea to finalise their move for Cuadrado. Something might happen soon. It had better! I'm bored! Edit: as I posted WBA have apparently sold Brown Ideyi according to SSN, which could spark some movement. Also apparently WBA want Capoue.
