Crap forgot about him, yeah looks like he would be a good addition to our squad and could even see him breaking into our first team on a good run, with time still on his side..
Pardon? it hasnt for me.... Edit what it has, What the hell is going on???????????? I have retyped it and it has gone :S

Didnt think anyone one would take him to be honest

I wouldnt take Bellamy back, think he might be passed his peak now, I personally would want Boyata and Weiss both young and I feel will blend into our squad well, with minimal sacrifice for our finances!!

As for Richards I was aware he was in there first team last season, but I can see Man city spending some crazy money on some players all over the park this summer, so whether he is or not by the time august arrives is uncertain!!

At this rate they're going to need 3 digit squad numbers. :emoticon-0100-smile
Who's going to get the coveted 109 on the back of their shirt?

Emmanuel Adebayor - fees will be too high
    Michael Johnson - resounding no
    Nedum Onuoha - if cheap
    Santa Cruz - past it
    Vladimír Weiss - yes <ok>
    Dedryck Boyata - yes <ok>
    Jo - no
    Given - don't need a keeper
Aleksandar Kolarov - will cost more than he is worth
Micah Richards - Hell yes but doubt it
    Adam Johnson - certainly
Pablo Zabaleta - not great but better than Simmo

Why would Kolarov and Zabaleta leave - two first teamers last year!

Edit: I like Zabaleta because he was signed before they started spending billions, 3 season ago

I propose they just have a big auction, all of the EPL managers show up, City run all of their second-class citizens out one at a time, and everyone bids what they want -- highest bid, no matter how low the price, gets the player (in typical charity auction fashion, the player doesn't have a say in who they go to). Its how both Man City and their mercenary players deserve to be treated really

The situation at City, and to a lesser extent Chelsea and even through to specific cases like Krancjar could lead to the transfer market changing completely over the next few weeks. In January it was a sellers market, as we proved, if one team wanted a player then the selling team could ask as much as they liked as they knew that money was rife and wages were high. Now, due to the squad rules teams are going to have to off-load, and due to the cost of quality players - due to two windows of over-spending - and the wages they used to tempt these players in, it is very difficult to get rid.

I'd imagine after a month of trying to get rid of SWP or Kolarov (who actually I don't think they'll sell) at a price that will make you money, with the wages they're asking, prices and wages will have to start coming down, and as prices and wages fall at one club, then they do all around.

Perhaps NUFC saying that loans weren't an option is actually very sound, it will become a buyers market, if Man City want to loan all those £70k + a week players they are going to have to pay a large portion of those wages to make other teams remotely interested. If they're never going to play for them again, it's more commercially viable in the long run to get rid on the cheap, and once the first player is sold under value, this means other teams will use that deal as a benchmark - the reverse of how I imagine Sunderland used Carroll's transfer to get more money for Henderson - and prices should theoretically come down, representing better value all round.

    Could be interesting.

The City wage bill must be ludicrous. £100 million a year easy I reckon.

I honestly don't think they're going to sell anyone - they are looking to be competitive in EVERY competition next season and they will need a massive squad.

By my calculations, Tevez alone costs more than £14 million a year in wages, he's on something like £283,000, and has a clause that means he matches the highest earner at the club.

    I think Yaya Toure's on £200,000 p/w which equates to £10.4m a year.
