They need a good dose of Disneys Frozen, there is a song called 'Let It Go' that will put them on a good path.
It's good that you take an interest, it's certainly important that as fans we're interested in this. But, as Lib says, unless we see the books, we can't really analyse the Swans accounts from the outside with any credibility, especially from a press release. We can only speculate. If you ever get a chance to look at the books, the likelihood is that it would actually all add up.
Where did I suggest that the figures would not "add up"? Basically an Operating Loss of £600k the previous year has been turned into an Operating Profit of £1.3m. My rhetorical question wondered what level of compensation had been included as that would clearly have the effect of reducing the final reported Operating Profit figure.
Fair enough,I sense your angst, but you've been on here long enough to know that if you start a thread about apples, guaranteed someone will start to talk about pears. Let it wash over you, life is a lot easier that way.
Fair enough. I understand what you mean now. So, in my layman's terms, "How much profit did we lose as a result of sacking Laudrup?" I can understand the interest, but it was deemed a necessary action at the time that was, as has been shown shown, an affordable option. Conversely, how much in managerial wages will have been saved since the sacking (spanning last and this financial year)? I guess these things even out over time when the ship is run sensibly. (Not that I necessarily condone the cheap option where our managerial position is concerned!)
Is this thread about our operating profit or Laudrop's severance pay? Just asking like........................
You should sympathise with him,Taff. All that money Jenkins had to fork out to "The Great Dane" still rankles deep within him. In addition,he has to constantly view images of "TGD",with his expensively coiffed, full head of hair, whilst his hero gets his done at Oxfam, whilst sitting on a stool in the corner.
Well you say that, but Garry hasn't always wanted the Swans to do well, and I quote, "I'm glad we didn't get into the play-offs with Paulo, as he did not deserve to be the one to take us to the Premiership." Given the way Monk played in some of those games it does make me wonder if our season was spiked by Mr Spiteful. I know you appreciate the quotes.
The club received 3.95 million euros as a result of its participation in the Europa League per UEFA 2014 distributions document ( http://www.uefa.org/MultimediaFiles...aorg/Finance/02/11/95/44/2119544_DOWNLOAD.pdf)
