Byeeee Hornette - have a good afternoon

Well we were supposed to be getting a couple of little goats - and that mysteriously turned into three. Then yesterday pre-delivery it was up to 4 - two older and two younger - but when he got here he brought 5 - two older and three little ones - I am sure Mrs L was working behind the scenes on that :(

You should see all the dents etc on the front bumper of her car ! (well ok its only incidental that they all happened when I was behind the wheel (true) .Do not use words like 'exagerration'... THEN claim to be a Female ...THEN claim you can park a car !!

Interesting to see Charlie Adam sign for Liverpool today. Would I be right in thinking Adam was on the verge of signing for Watford only to be persuaded by Blackpool at the last minute?

There are many jobs around the estate that I enjoy, but one that fills me with despair is plumbing.

It always reminds me of our defence.

Morning all. Still dark but the days are getting longer.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of news about. Al Bangura has signed for Forest Green. Lets hope he remembers what to do to them up the road.

Leo, Gas is not a problem. Unless it comes in a bottle we don't have any.
Electricity I enjoy as you can see straight away if you got it right. The ominous clunk from the fuse box tells you to think again.
Plumbing however is different. You think that you have done it well, only to find that you have a drip-drip at best, a dose of the Niagara Falls at the worst.

I have just installed a new sink unit. Nothing the matter with the old one in my eyes. Nuff said. Everything has gone well until I discovered that the 32mm waste pipe I had been saving turns out to be 34mm. Clearly an imported item. Dash of to the local agricultural spares depot that also has a bit of DIY stuff and buy the required waste pipe. All fixed in situ, waited for it to all set, turn on water, drip, drip, drip from one small place. Tomorrow I will have to try and get it out, remake the joint, wait again for it to set and fume about why I was ever talked into this in the first place.

Apart from that it has been quite a nice day, and the Bordeaux is very good tonight. ;)

    Evening all

International one day cricket looks about as predictable as the Championship at the moment. How can England be so woeful on Sunday and then win so overwhelmingly today. Wonder if any large bets have been placed anywhere?

Things are a little quieter, Leo. We are getting two or three rumbles a day in the 3s at the moment but nothing to worry about. There have been bigger quakes in the North Island recently but they are so deep that they have caused no damage. No one believes that it is over yet, though. It's a matter of wait and see.

NZ, It sounds dreadful to think that you do not know what will happen from day to day.

We will keep you and your family in our thoughts.
