Yeah and if the prices where more the attendance would of been even less. Of course price effects attendances. How can it not?
Category C Adults: £16 Seniors (65+)/16-22 Year-Olds: £10 Juniors (11-15): £8 Juniors (10 and under): £5 Them's bargain prices. They just dont give a **** mate. The fans who have left wont come no matter what the price. All thats left are the fans of the big clubs who will happily pay 50 quid for the pleasure or the ****s who went to Wembley but cant be arsed and only pretended to support us for the day.
The kids ticket prices, compared to other PL Clubs, are cheap enough already. Why should kids be given a free day out? It's up to lazy parents to get their kids interested in us. I've never had a freebie in my life. I got into Hull City as a young boy because I had relatives who loved and still love Hull City. Indeed kids are more likely to be into us if they have close relatives who are. Sadly there are many adults in this area who aren't interested in us, so why should there kids be? I also stand by what I said earlier about pricing at the KC. We have had some decent attendances at the £35 games. Most seats in the home areas for most of these games have been well attended. The Villa game is a massive relegation six pointer and NOT live on telly. This game, along with QPR, could decide the destiny of our season. As a result, non season ticket holders should stop whinging about the price and get to the game. If we see loads of empty seats at the Villa game I, for one, would not blame the club. I would blame the lazy Hull public who have yet to fully convince me that we deserve Premier League football. We should be backing the players and the club to the hilt in our bid for survival. Instead people moan, spout negative crap, or are too lazy to go to games.
There's no doubt that the West Brom attendance was piss poor and it was very disappointing, but I don't think singling out one game to justify the pricing for all others, is a clever idea. I have no doubt that in general terms the pricing effects the attendance, we have a game coming up that we need to win, the atmosphere is better at night matches and we should be doing everything possible to fill the ground that night. Despite Villa subsidising their tickets, they'll probably only bring 1,000 at most, the whole of the North is ours and we haven't a prayer of filling it at £35 a ticket. Personally, I'd use some of our £200k fan fund to give schools tickets(if we're not allowed to simply give them away), empty seats are no good to anyone.
Wow. Such pig ignorance. Not everybody in Hull can afford to take their kids to City. They're not all as well off as you like to think they are. Your opinion is pretty narrow minded. It's not "laziness" as you like to believe.
Unfortunately, many people simply don't have the luxury of being able to attend every game and have to pick and choose the games they can afford to go to. I think it's both insulting and inaccurate to suggest that any City fan that doesn't attend this game is simply lazy. When was the last time you missed a City game?
If they can't legally give them away, charge schools a penny a ticket or "raffle" them off? I'd love the club to go back to giving school kids tickets. Raise it at the next meeting. What harm is giving away ~300 tickets a game to 3-4 different schools? You might flog a few shirts and hotdogs too. They won't need extra stewards either as stewards are already there, stewarding empty seats.
It's already been discussed, the club are looking at ways to use up unsold tickets, but I think they're very nervous about pissing off season ticket holders.
I suppose they could always poll us? I can't see too many not wanting disadvantaged kids seeing a game or two a season?
I suspect most people in Hull are not whinging about the price of tickets because they have no intention of coming to the match. Most of them couldn't care less about what division Hull City are in and the last thing they want to watch is two teams that can't score play 90 odd minutes of football on a cold Tuesday night. Our core support is drifting away because of the way the club is run and a significant number of supporters had had enough after 77 minutes yesterday and walked out. A lot of that blame lies at the door of the club, in fact, most of it does. From the queues at the turnstiles, to the poor performances on the pitch, the slow death of the name change application, the Soviet style eradication of our name, the will he sell, won't he sell, and the disappearing banner. There really isn't much to be cheerful about is there? All you offer is, you should be a real Hull City supporter and sing your heart out for 90 minutes irrespective of what happens on the pitch. And if you don't then its your fault. Here's what the True Geordie thought of our teams performance yesterday, it explains why we didn't sing for the full 90 minutes. A similar performance against Villa will get a similar response.
The True Geordie - this was as honest as the assessment he made of his own team when we beat them 3-2 in 2013 ................. I thought the Sunderland team we beat this season were the worst PL Team, I'm not so sure now.
Or could they introduce a "school and club" price bracket since we have price brackets for everything else where they can purchase a bulk amount of tickets at discounted rates a day or two before the game if available in the north west and south west corners.
I believe and I have said this for a long time the interest in football in the City of Hull just isn't there. This is nothing to do with the Allams as we couldn't fill our stadium in our second season in the Premier League first time round. When the quality of football we are watching is crap you could charge people £1 to get in and they wouldn't turn up. Yes I believe some of our games are over priced but on the whole I don't think our prices are to bad. We all know that if we are relegated our attendances will drop to about 15,000 in an instant. As I say I do think a lot of people in our area struggle to find the money to attend games, but I am telling you the interest for football in Hull just isn't there.
So you're admitting that Hull City fans are gutless? Rather than face the Allam tyrant head on our fans are running away. A true supporter loves their club to their dying day and does not turn their back on them. Supporters should turn out in force for the Villa game and all other games. The cost and our current form should not be an issue. I guess it boils down to the fact that people in this area are not as passionate about football as they are in other areas. Similar sized cities such as Derby, Nottingham and Wolverhampton get better gates than us even though they are in the Championship. Look at the gates Sunderland get despite being a poor area. Even Leicester get full houses for every game regardless of the price and the opposition. Hull people are generally negative moaners. If they had true passion they would find the money and get to the games. For some the Allam hatred is just a convenient excuse not to go to games. Yes some people suffer from genuine financial hardship, but others can find the money to spend on crap instead of the Tigers. To suggest people aren't interested in a massive relegation six pointer says more about them than it does the current state of the club. If people are supporters they should show genuine enthusiasm regardless of what is happening off the field. Now is the time to rally not disappear. There have been games this season when we haven't sold out the home stands when dirt cheap. We play in one of the smallest stadiums in the PL but people are still saying there will be empty seats against Villa. Why? Hull people should put aside their miserable negativity and fully back the lads.
What people aren't taking to account is Hull has once of highest unemployment and one lowest average wage. £16, £35 and £50 is a lot more to the average Hull person then other areas of the country.
Reasons why not full against Villa £35 for a match is ludicrous. The team cant be bothered so why should fans bother. Fans are so pissed off with Allam that they do not want to find the money to feather his nest.
