Saw him go down at the end, but the camera didn't stay on him. Did anybody see him get up? Nobody seemed too concerned at the end.
Pretty good performance from us but my **** me, Villa were horrendous. Delighted for Bellerin, what a talent that boy is. Best full back we have had since Cole in terms of potential.
It was a really clever finish too. It would have been tempting to just smash it in hope from there, but to score with a sidefoot pass from outside the box is a real skill, especially when you see the replay from behind the ball, the way it bent into the corner. As for Villa, they are in freefall, no goals in 10 hours of football, they are now big contenders for relegation.
Oh and I thought Akpom looked good as well. Always liked the look of him and I think he has massive potential, way more than Sanogo in my eyes. Need to get him to sign a new contract.
All of our goals today came on the counter. We were happy to let Villa have the ball and break when they lost it. The set up of the team with Coquelin in the middle allows us to do this and when we break we have the likes of Santi, Sanchez, Ozil, Rosicky, Ramsey, Walcott, Giroud, Oxo who can all break in an instant. We need to set up like this against the Spuds, because they will come at us at WHL and like last season when Rosicky scored that early blaster, we'll need to soak up a lot of pressure and hit them on the break. If we play it cute next week, then we can score at least a couple against the Spuds.
What an wonderful performance by Arsenal today. Enjoyed watching Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla and I really am getting more and more impressed with Coquelin. This is why I said Arsenal don't need a defensive midfielder and I only think the Brazil defender wa signed in case of injury. Is the title too much to think about? Maybe not.
I liked the way that a few times Coq had the chance to charge forward with the ball, but instead chose a simple pass so he could retreat and cover any villa counter attack - intelligent and sensible play. He also reads the ball very well for someone with so little top flight experience, and seeing as he didn't look great when he played for us before his loan moves.
Let's just focus on trying to get into the top four first. Then we can see if we can set our sights higher. As it stands Southampton are starting to be a thorn in our side and the teams around us seem to be hitting form at the same time. The Spurs game next week is massive. A must not lose.
Another clean sheet! Great performance today, totally in control from start to finish. Ozil has come alive and our team sheet genuinely looks world class when everyone is fit. Nobody wants to play us at the moment and who can blame them. Come on Swansea!!!!!!!!
Makes it even more annoying that we didn't beat Man U like we should have - if we had we'd have been 3 points behind City in 3rd and Man U would have been even with Spurs in 5th...
Peoples view still the same on Arsene??? You still want him gone.... Lets be honest nothing has changed you can only bully the little teams and still can't beat the top teams
We shall see what happens when we come to your place looking to take 6 points from our visits to Manchester this season or had you forgotten that we had beaten the Champions City at there place !
I haven't expected him, or wanted him, gone until his contract his up in 3 years - he's very frustrating but there's few who are better than him and available (the people who say Guardiola are laughable).
