Anyone who swaps his true love for his football club to the interests of one old man is not a fan at all because that is what is happening Harold never talks about us it's always about how someone else at the club is nice or someone else isn't right ... There has never been unity between our club and him ... To him it's just a job ... Well he isn't very good at it imo in fact until recently he hasn't really worked at all The man takes no responsibility at all His interests are his own He is a dreadful man manager and has what is now totally exposed very little talent to manage a football team He gets others to bail him out He certainly has spent a lot of money so much so that the club is in total peril directly because of him and the idiots who have borrowed against it . Both Harold and Tony have dragged our name in the mud for five more minutes of fame We are currently the laughing stock of London ... Big plans Big Dreams Wake up and realise we haven't got a side good enough to compete in football matches especially away from home ... The worse since 1954 Laugh all you want
It is rough but.... WE ARE NOT ***** We need to try to be constructive whatever happens. Tony keeps making it clear he is in it for the long term. The stadium looks like it is going ahead. We will build. It is his money and if he is willing to commit so am I. As you say..... Whatever the division we are in.
As depressing as it is to watch us get beat away again, a quick look at the table shows we aren't that different to most of the rest of the bottom half of the table, there is only 6 points between the bottom 8 teams!
Observing that someone is doing a terrible job is not the same thing as wanting that person to continue doing a terrible job.
Yeah even Leicester have a better away record than us and they are bottom of the table???....oh yeah I know it's because points are awarded for home games as well.
You just have to wonder how many points we'll get at home from Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, West Ham and Newcastle if we continue to play as we are
I reckon we need at least 10 points away from home with our remaining home fixtures mate. Can anyone really see that happening?
Not if we continue to play one up front away. If we attack and TF sanctions a couple of worthy incomings (to replace Mutch and Taarabt if he goes) then we may just give ourselves a fighting chance.
Definitely not; but I believe we will pick up points away from home and see our forthcoming away games at Sunderland,Hull,Palace,WBA,and Villa as winnable games. My basis for this is that apart from Hull we have already beaten three of the above and drawn one . I will back rangers to avoid defeat in all of those games and the returns I get from my bookmaker will pay for this years summer holiday. We will win our home games against Everton,West Ham and Newcastle and scrap the odd draw here and there. My forecast is for between 37-39 points. Will it be enough to stay up? I don't know but I think we will have more points than Burnley come the end of May and therefore think the other two for the drop will come from villa,us,Leicester and Hull.
I agree that the away games at the places you list are vital. I had a look through our remaining fixtures and could just about get us to 39 points, but that relies on us getting at least 10 points away from home. This is possible, but not if Harry keeps setting us up so defensively.
I agree. Rangers need to get their noses in front away from home and that means taking the lead. At the moment the tactic away from home is to try and contain the home team and then play our way in. This is not working and in our last four away games we have conceded before half time. If we can score first and go into half time in front then all the problems are our opponents managers problems - the crowd on your back, throwing plan a out the window and making rash subs etc Easier said than done though. I guess the only advantage rangers have is that opponents know how we set up away and just come onto us. Another attacking option would enable us to change this.
Let's look at the trends here Oak as would love to share the same drugs your own but unfortunately they were all sold out here - We have played Spurs when they were cack - Lost 4-0 We have played Everton, when they were bang in the middle of only 1 win in 10 - You got it, we were the 5th game!! We played Liverpool when they were absolutely at their worst - Lost Newcastle have had a run of 8 points out of 40 - You guessed it, we were 3 of those points. I could go on, but that would mean trudging through all the sh... again. We've actually been blessed this season apart from Man United first time where they had a 2 week break to get Di Maria and a few more in, other than that we've played teams at the perfect time, Even Stoke couldn't play with Bojan and had Shawcross out after 20 and Huth suspended. Got to go, the dealer just called.
My assessment of the potential for away points is based on our record against the same opponents this season as well as the fact that all of those teams are within a few points us meaning that their seasons are not going as well. This is rational. You rant on about this team being crap when we played them and this team being on this bad run when we played them. Irrelevant. The only two teams who have been consistently good this season have been Chelsea and City and rangers have run both teams close- so does that mean we should be challenging for a top four spot? Of course it doesn't. We know where we are and the fact that the bottom of the table is so tight means we have an even money chance of survival. The team are on a bad run at the moment having lost our last three league matches but I genuinely believe that we have reached rock bottom and that the tide will turn. I would also like to add that I do not take drugs.
I actually think we have a good squad of players, just need someone to come in, motivate them and sort out the tactics. Might be an idea to address who's playing in their correct position too.
