    Can't argue with that.

I did a family big shop on the way home, moped around the supermarket feeling all sorry for myself.

    Unheard of.

It's embarrassing, nearly as embarrassing as that performance from that shower of ****.

My car & I are emotionally attached. It's not like some old bird. I don't let just anybody in my car, it's nothing like the Mrs.

That's my car with the Mrs entertaining Chazz, didn't know she'd had it filmed. Did the radio work or was it ticking over Chazz?

Here's your chance to try the lucky heather on that damned radio - providing you haven't torched it?

Ben I doubt it's this as it worked before but it could be, there's a 'safety wire' somewhere in behind there that rigs into all these DVD player units, it's been awhile since I've done one so ive forgotten what colour it is, but it essentially makes the head unit do exactly as you describe. If you're ever dumb enough to go to Halfords for something as trivial as plugging in a bloody head unit, they always wire it in so you can't watch telly whilst you're driving.

Other than that, no idea. I guess your car ain't that old? From 05ish onwards they stop being mechanical and turn into computers, get an IT technician to have a look at it.

Does this make any sense to anybody?

"I know exactly what the problem is I had the same problem with my car radio and no one knows how to fix it .I did it by myself the problem is when we start the car the electrical voltage in the car go up from 12 to 14.i put something like dimmer in the place where we put the fuse radio to made the voltage max go 12 even when the car is running ,the problem was solved its been now working for over 2 years and everything is good.the dimmer I used I took it from an home halogen light (it looks like a radio volume).someone said to me I can use resistance."

Yes, in layman's terms it says "get a new car with a working stereo in it".

Pull the unit back out and trace the red wire straight out the head unit and back into the cars wiring loom, it could have gotten cut. If that doesn't work, in the wiring block between the head unit and the plug where it connects to the cars wiring loom, try cut the red and wire it onto the yellow. You'll have to switch it on and off manually but that should at least make it work.

Try a reset Ben, it's the easiest and quickest option, disconnect the the negative battery terminal, leave for five minutes, reconnect, report back ;)
