I changed my car battery before Christmas & since then my in car audio system (CD Player) works absolutely fine when the ignition is turned to "on" but doesn't work at all when the engine is started. I have battered my head thinking what it could be but have come up with jack ****, in-fact I don't have a ****ing clue. Any ideas? Thanks in advance of any piss taking, sarcasm, innuendo, puns or genuine help.
That's cleared up her sleep talking. She was only saying the other night "Chazz you little cock". I thought she'd been checking my laptop history again, at least I'm in the clear.
http://mechanics.stackexchange.com/...ereo-unit-powered-to-save-pre-set-preferences This may help. Is it a factory fitted or after market stereo?
After market, one I stuck in myself. It did work perfectly well for a few years until I changed the battery last year.
You still use CD's? My advice would be to take it to a garage. They're pretty knowledgeable about such things.
Did you wire it yourself? There's usually a fuse in one of the live wires - check that. You may have the live wires the wrong way around - there should be 2 (one for presets and one for when the ignition is on)
I have, they said "sorry, we'd love to help but we only sell petrol, diesel, out of date chocolate, the odd can of oil & loads of **** mags.". I filled up with unleaded, got a Parade & a faded bar of Dairy Milk. Took them back to the car & sat there listening to the radio eating the chocolate & having a **** whilst singing along to Rhianna. I then started the engine, put me cock away, mopped up with the Dairy Milk wrapper, stopped singing & ****ed off before the old bill turned up. Thanks anyway.
The battery or CD player? I did wire both. The CD player worked fine from the day it was fitted until I fitted the battery a few years later. The battery was fitted in exactly the same way as the one we took out. My lad's a mechanic, he did it, not me. He has no idea either.
Dairy Milk & Parade on a Satdee night? Behave, that's a normal Tuesday lunchtime for me. It's Toblerone & a 10 minute freeview on a Satdee Night
3 till 7. I didnt have the heart for anymore after that **** today. Ruined what coulda been a cracking day
