Bit of a Curate's egg really. It didn't look like a line-up likely to produce goals and it didn't, not really even coming close except for Redmond's shot from distance saved in the top corner in the first half. On the plus side, the CB pairing of Martin and Bassong were solid, though Brum offered very little in attack either. Other than that a poor game by both sides. I also don't understand the late substitutions, Jerome after 70 minutes. Murphy after 76 minutes and Hooper with 2 minutes left.

My response was to carrowcanario actually, have another look.

I started replying to your bollocks earlier, but then decided you weren't worth it so didn't finish what I was going to write..

Ironic that I posted on the 'New Website' thread last week how much I like the new look of it as I've come to the conclusion that most of the actual content on here nowadays is absolutely **** and I can't really be bothered with it as much any more. Honestly, some of the bullshit some people post on here beggars belief sometimes.

You enjoy yourself though fella and don't let me stop you from keep on chuckling away to your 'banter' <doh>

Clean sheet away from home against an in-form team with Rusty at centre-half, though I'm sure most folk on here won't be interested in paying attention to any of that.

Watching it was frustrating because we had much more possession in the first half against a team that were dreadful - crying out for some urgency and nous - not a great deal on show- but some committment and spirit displayef

That was the highlight, Tony_Munky. Both Martin and Bassong did well, as did Ruddy. Congratulations on predicting 0-0 early on as well, by the way.

Didn't sound like one of our better performances, but I'm happy enough with a point. Good to see Bassong back, wasn't expecting that.

Just wish I'd either put a bet on it or predicted in the CPL! I had us down for a draw on my coupon, Palace let me down though :(

Yes, he played for the U21s on Tue and I thought he looked a useful player - albeit against U21 opposition.
I thought we might see some of the 'old guard' ditched in favour of some of our youngsters!!
I'm hoping that now we have 'Cat 1 academy'status we may be lucky enough to develop some of our own talent in the same way that Saints have done for years!!!! <ok>

We are going through a bad patch but it seems as though you boys don't want to take advantage.

    That's a real shame...!

I always understood when a new manager came in to a team that were shipping silly goals, the idea was to shore up the back first then concentrate on other areas!

Well, a clean sheet, no silly penalties, I'm satisfied that we're moving in the right direction! Of course, we can be knocked off course again by a few silly Canary callers stealing the confidence from the team!

It would have been a decent point if we were higher up the table. Truth is we need to make up ground and we won't do that by drawing with the likes of Birmingham away & losing to Brentford at home. Unfortunately the truth is we're losing ground on a top 6th place not gaining.

Good point imo - the Brummies have been on good form under Gary Rowett and I'd have taken a draw before the game and content with the draw afterwards.

Well there's no point debating with you if you are either going to a) make things up or b) get your facts completely wrong.

Not sure if you are aware but Watford and Brentford both lost this weekend, meaning we actually gained a point on 6th place, and improved our goal difference against them by a couple of goals.

But let's not worry about silly things like actual facts eh?
