    Greegsy
Elmo Dawson Davies Robbo or Figgy
    Meyler Hudd Livermore Quinn
    Ramirez
    Aluko

I havent put Jelly or Abel in as reading what Brucey said they dont sound fit to me.
Think we need a captains performance from Davies and a towering header from a corner. I cant see us scoring any other way.
We really need to win this one. I want to see a lot more heart and desire from the lads. They gave in second half against Wham.
Lets get behing the lads tomorrow. They need it

Quite possibly there'll be enough towels thrown in to equip Bev Road Baths

    Guardian write up. Correct??

    1) Hull and Newcastle both battling doom and gloom
Unless Thergothon, the pioneers of Finnish funeral metal, are about to head out on a resurrection tour, you’ll be hard pressed to find a gloomier band of brooders in England this weekend than the fans of the team who fail to win Saturday’s early kick-off. Hull City are in the grip of an ominous despondency, with the regime unpopular, the injury list cruel and the manager losing faith in key players if Steve Bruce’s public scolding of Allen McGregor and Curtis Davies after the 3-0 defeat at West Ham is anything to go by. One of the few sources of hope for Hull at the moment is a relatively benign run of fixtures (apart from an imminent trip to Manchester City). Five of their next seven matches are against teams who could conceivably finish below them, starting with the game against Newcastle, one of the few clubs as woebegone as the Tigers. Bruce looks likely to deploy Sone Aluko up front and the striker has the speed to trouble Newcastle’s plodding defence provided he is given adequate service – this weekend, then, would be a good time for Tom Huddlestone to rediscover the form that had some people suggesting he was worthy of a place in England’s squad for the last World Cup, or for Robbie Brady or Gastón Ramírez to show they can be relied upon to shoulder creative duties consistently. Victory for the home side would inject much-needed confidence into Hull – and increase the disillusionment of Newcastle fans who claim John Carver is not the head coach to prevent their season from petering – or should that be Ashleying? – out again.

The Guardian reporter must have been listening to Radio Humberside after a City game.

Most folk up here are expecting a bore-draw, but I'm hoping for a few goals and a bit of grit from both teams giving us a decent game to watch; there's an imbalance in the team's that can open it up.

Is it just me or is the Match Day thread losing it's previous appeal?

After hearing murmuring of availability I would hope to see

    Mac
    Elmo. McShane. Dawson. Maguire. Brady.
    Livermore. Hudds. Ramirez.
    Aluko.
    Jelavic.

Terrorise their backs and shut our back door, then hit the bloody net!

I think you'll find that the season is so disjointed with daft kick-off times, international breaks, no F.A.Cup involvement and the like that we can never generate the same enthusiasm as when we were flying high in the Championship. I notice we don't play on Feb 14th either. I reckon a win today and a few points from the next 3 games, of which 2 are at home and winnable, will rekindle the Tigers spirit. A couple of decent additions to the squad and a few positive results will make all the difference. Anyway I'm going for 2-1 to the Lads today.

Fairing up a bit now. May still be a two blanketer tho.

I'm sure I've just seen Deano out jogging down County Rd.

Anybody watching Fletch and Sav on BT?

for those who don't know, they present from the stadium and send a reporter around the stadium. She's talking to Liam Rosenior who will be taking the viewers on a tour later in the programme.

so from that lot, we still don't have a striker. ( Don't rate either Aluko or Sago)
