The 27-year-old has 18 months left to run on his current contract and has had a host of options to consider this month with Everton, Stoke, QPR and Crystal Palace all keen to sign him - as well as interest from abroad. However, Goal understands that Lennon has confirmed to those around him that he is destined for the KC Stadium, where he will link up with former Spurs team-mates Michael Dawson, Jake Livermore and Tom Huddlestone. The England international, who has spent almost 10 years at White Hart Lane since joining from Leeds in 2005, has started just three league games under Mauricio Pochettino this season. The Argentine has informed Lennon that he has no long-term future in north London and Tottenham are looking to recoup around £7 million from any sale.
Eoin Doyle in talks with Sheffield United and Preston. Hopefully this puts to bed just which level he belongs at for now. Just to clarify, thats League 1.
To be fair you cannot generalize. Danny Ings and Charlie Austin have proved this season that just because your roots are in the lower leagues doesn't mean you can't make it in the BIG league.
Sounds like Stoke are in for Lennon and prepared to pay higher wages - hopefully he'll choose his mates over more money. Told we made a loan offer for Lee at Bolton, but weren't prepared to pay his £25k a week wages.
They dont seem to think they are really in for him on twitter or their forum. They seem interested but it doesnt sound like they think their club is really that interested with his wage demands and then the fee quoted at the end of the season. http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/234299/aaron-lennon?page=21 Are you reading that from another source?
http://www.sportsvibe.co.uk/news/football/hull-complete-deal-for-spurs-winger-38974/? Premature, but it's the first saying 'We've signed him'.
Wow there are plenty of errors in that piece but the best/worst one has got to be "before the transfer window slams ****"!
" "I had a conversation with Mick on Thursday and he's going to have a think over the weekend," said Bruce. " Taken from HDM this morning, so the place were you read he has signed but not starting until 1st February was obviously spouting a load of bollocks. DON'T YOU READ?!
It's called being careful in the media. he isn't at our club yet. Him starting in Feb wasn't a guess, it's part of the conditions of his Norwich deal.
I hope to god this comes off. I mean our manager is a player who played under arguably the best manager in history and if this happens his number 2 will be the former assistant of the same arguably best manager in history. Surely enough will have rubbed off you would have thought.
"Squeeky Bum" time......Phelan, Lennon, NDoye.....will they/wont they? If they don't this site will go into meltdown, BUT, if they do, OMG it will be a veritable sockfest for some !!
LENNON LATEST Hull are in talks to sign Aaron Lennonon loan from Tottenham until the end of the season. We understand it would only be a loan, with no commitment. Spurs have a big squad and Lennon’s motivation is to play regular first-team football. We understand there are a number of other clubs interested in a loan for the winger.
David Burns @bbcburnsy 4s4 seconds ago I hear the complication in the Hull City N'Doye deal is agents. 4 to 6 of them all trying to get a 150k slice of the pie each! #hcafc
Why don't we scrap the n'doye deal as he's another unproven stiriker (and come the summer we'll be saying we need another striker) and sign a decent midfielder eg Charlie Adam, lee cattermole we are crying out for someone with a bit of fight and someone to give Thudd a kick up the arse
