Blackpool: Fan apologises over defamatory website comments A Blackpool fan has apologised to the club's owner Owen Oyston and chairman Karl Oyston after posting defamatory comments on an internet forum. Stephen Sharpe withdrew the posts after accepting they were "false, defamatory and, in some cases, threatening". He has also made a £5,000 donation to the Blackpool FC Community Trust. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31069997 LCW - yep you told me So owners do read forums and take action...
I wonder what he said about the son of a convicted rapist that merited him to make the payment. 60 if you feel litigious I suggest you sue me. Why? It is a matter of record that Cellino is a crook, if 60 wants to sue because I say he ain't got any influence on signings at er and he rehashes stuff and posts it as his own idea then let him. He would need to prove it, and there is plenty of evidence predating his " economic advice" about the euro and oil price. He read that and then came here to claim wisdom and influence he don't have. So to put it out there: Cellino is a crook 60 makes it up I await the writs............. Htf do you damage the reputations of the oystons when daddy is a convicted rapist and son has been removing huge sums of money from the club by dubious means? Looks like a rich bloke bullying a relatively poor bloke using the laws of this land that always favour the better off. The McCanns anyone? If they had been "council estate trash" they would have been in prison for abandoning their kids instead of been feted as wronged celebrities.
I said you dont know what you are doing or talking about so I rest my case Quite honestly your not worth suing
I've heard of similar things before And it is on the BBC Edit: I have only just realised it was a donation of $5000 and not being sued but still not the point, he shouldn't have to apologise at all imo.
Sorry Josh, just read the thread back again. Forgot about the Blackpool stuff. I was talking about the bants in posts 11/12. Sorry if I misled you. Having looked back, I can only assume the guy went a little further than expressing an opinion. Key phrase for me was : 'Stephen Sharpe withdrew the posts after accepting they were "false, defamatory and, in some cases, threatening"'.
Yea I didn't even realise you weren't on track But even so I don't think he should need to apologise, not naming names but people on this very forum have said things about Cellino/Bates that could easily be considered false, defamatory and, in some cases, threatening.
Bants? Don't think so. I meant every word. Cellino is a convicted crook. No player has EVER been signed to LUFC and the euro/price of oil have never been affected by anything 60 said or did. Sue away.....
