This is worth having a pint on.........PASALB FC 11-0 Exeter City London Supporters..........oh boy......I would have loved to have seen that.
ill have a glass of red (predictable)- might have a couple so stay off the politics, religion and Homophobia comments and ill be good.
Come on own up who ate my nuts? It was indeed Folkestone plym and it was far from sunny on Wednesday when we ventured over the Channel into Belgium. It was blowing a bit and some of the ferry passengers were lets say less than happy. Absolutely chucked it down in Ostend and was slightly chilly. The rest of the week was ok until Thursday night when it snowed a tad but it was all gone this morning and there was little sign of the white stuff all the way back home.
I know I said stay off the controversial stuff, but talking about Belgium (officially the most boring country in the world) is the other end of the spectrum. What did they ever do for us- one dodgy fictional detective and they invented the chip- so what?
I've never quite worked out why Belgium is considered to be so boring lyndhurst. I've been there quite a few times and have always found the locals to be very polite, will speak to you without being forced and have quite a sense of humour as well. Now Germany..........hmmmm. France............hmmmm. Austria a bit like Belgium people wise as with Spain also. Italy.......hmmmmm. So why is Belgium on the boring step.
it just is. Agree about France, Germany and Austria (apart from the mountains and snow) but apart from Yorkshire, some bits of Italy are the most stunning you will find on this planet. Spend at least 3 weeks in Italy every year, the bit we go to (La Marche) has no tourists, great food and wine and beautiful scenery. Although not something that I would normally endorse, it was described by HRH The Prince of Wales as 'the most beautiful place on earth'- and I agree.
Whilst I think that, having travelled about a bit, England is quite stunning to look at in lots of places (including some bits of Yorkshire), I agree that Italy or at least some parts are also quite stunning. Been to Austria a couple of times and have to say I find the picture postcard come chocolate box views a bit over the top after a while. First time you see the mountains and valleys though it is a sort of gasp thing. Both times I've been to Austria there has been a heatwave thing so no snow which is kind of strange I supose. But, although there is nothing much to look at in Belgium view wise outside of the town architecture stuff I still like it there. I have never had a bad experience with any people and have been there at least 20 times over the last probably 15 years. Some quick visits and others a longer stay of a week plus.
Depends what you have done over the weekend and why you went there in the first place. The beer is nice..
Strewth how bleddy low can Brent stoop........He let Red Ed hire a room at Home Park today. I accepted Michael Foot who at least was a janner and a green but Red Ed?????? I need a stiff one after that news.
I need another drink tonight as I watched Eastenders. How a soap can have so much stuff going on in so small a space is totally beyond me. I can't believe people get hooked on them. Tonight's episode included.....Dot being taken away by the Police because she confessed to killing her son Nick who was dead in the house next door. That's after half the neighbourhood sorted out how to cover it up on her behalf. A baby being born in the Queen Vic bog. Nothing unusual for soap babies there then. Somebody trying to burn the pub down. Kathy, who was dead years ago turning up. Another surprise for Ian coming there then. And to cap it all the killer of Lucy being revealed who turned out to be Jane. All that in an hour. God forbid they ever do a day long episode. To think I could have been watching Liverpool. Bar person give me a pint of any spirit going I need it......oh, and a bag of nuts.
I never watch that garbage, but its all you here on the radio and news.. its not news its crap.. with everything else going on in the world ... its eastenders.. Total sh it.. and the other stuff Cornation street, cross roads , emmerdale.. how many more of these things are there.. Have a few pints,, i will have a Guiniess
I think Crossroads was made into a motorway service station and died a long time ago joe. I have been hearing about who dunnit on Eastenders all day on the radio. I'm not the greatest fan of soaps but they are harmless if you like that sort of thing. It's better than reality stuff which is on about 75% of the time. I refuse to watch any of them. Have the Guiness on me joe and you can even share me nuts for good measure.
The Eastender cast must need regular counselling to fight against depression setting in..........must be a permanent rain cloud over Walford.
I need counselling after watching it. My Mrs watches the soaps and I'm usually doing something whilst they are on in the background. 2 people were trying to commit suicide on Emmerdale tonight as well so it has all been very traumatic and that's supposed to be in a village. It's as bad as Midsommer there for murders and deaths. Don't ever move to the Countryside it's too dangerous and full of maniacs. I need another drink and quick...
And the answer to your question is yes along with Corrie and Emmerdale. Friday night is soap night wall to wall. I've been at my son's house for most of today. His eldest is 15 and wanted her room decorated. They have done most of it but she wanted a wall muriel so I was asked to put it up. Don't ever get one they are a pain in the butt to put up. This one covered the whole of one wall and was of the New York skyline. i.e. loads of skyscrapers at night. It came in 8 sheets and the first 4, the top half were reasonably easy given you just had to match up one side of the picture. The bottom 4 however where you had to match up top and side were a different ball game. I have never cursed so much trying to get it right in all my life. The paper wasn't like ordinary wall paper either so there wasn't much give in it even when paste was liberally applied. I new I hated America for a good reason. Treble Gin and Tonic with a cherry please bar person and whatever anyone else wants for the £1 I've got left after mine.
Just been having a flick about the various footie sites and had a look at tonights game at Accrington. Jumped out and bit me that they had a crowd of 1216. Now I know they are in a football rich area but how can any league side hope to get anywhere on that sort of crowd? We average more than 5 times that and we aren't exactly wealthy are we. I don't know how they can survive.
