Chris Wood is they a joke. Why would they loan to a relegation rival? And he's hardly pulled up any trees.

Apparently they can't do that. I don't know if it's different in the case of a loan back, but premier league clubs can't loan players to each other if they signed for the mummy and daddy club in the same transfer window. It's why kramaric went to Leicester.

 

Can they get around this by a pre contract agreement? He's in the last months of his contract, so could stay at Burnley then sign for whatever was agreed for?

It's the recovery process having had a limb immobilised for a period of time. Rebuilding muscle wastage, it can take you a fair bit beyond the period with which the cast was removed, it did in my personal experience anyway. Walked like a cripple for about 6 weeks after - let alone play football!

 

I dont see why not, Ings can talk to Liverpool and sign a pre contract agreement with Burnleys blessing, I guess they'll just work it that way.

 

Yes the rule only stops loaning between two premier league clubs. We can send them on loan anywhere else we like.
