NIcholas Anelka has finished his anti-racism course and is now looking for another PL club. After his antics at WBA, I'd be very surprised if he found one. EDIT: Weirdly, he had agreed a deal to play in Algeria, only for the president of their FA to tell him that their league's rules for oversees players mean they can only have players that are under 27 and full internationals. Seems very specific, our league would look very different if we had the same rule.
I think a lot of that is the players' agents who are trying the best to squeeze the best deal for the player and of course a better financial cut for themselves. And as for the last minute exciting and fraught shenanigans I think a lot of that can be blamed at wide-boy 'arry!
Agents are another mystery though. Why do players take their ****? Why do clubs go along with it more importantly. The agent works for the player yet clubs have to pay him. What the ****?
I have to say even though the man will forever be a judas in my eyes, old flat head at leicester has the right idea when it comes to transfer windows, pick your targets early, get them in early, then sit back and watch the rest battle it out.
It also means you have the players in place for key games. We have one on Saturday - a winnable game and potentially no recognised striker (as it stands). If we lose on Saturday, a significant factor will be a failure to identify players within the 2 weeks and sign them.
Can see Anelka getting a club at the last minute and we end up with the cast off who's nose has been put out of joint.
Jesus, how recycled is that story? It's at least 3 days old (not blaming you, you might have only just seen it), but how hard is it to source a god damn news story?!
Steve Bruce news conference coming up at 8:30am, hopefully he can shed some light on how close we are to signing someone. Hopefully he confirms the story about N'Doye flying over from Paris to complete the deal today! Also, I've got a Pheeling that Phelan won't be coming or negotiations have hit a snag, nothing from the club at all about that, they've been back for a few days now so I'm surprised they haven't confirmed him as the new assistant, that's something else Bruce can enlighten us upon.
They've already said he will join after the Newcastle game, as there's a rule that he has to wait until February 1st, don't you read?
That is what the HDM said yes, however their creditability was tarnished when employing Peter Swan to write stupid articles and just embarrass himself, therefore I take whatever they say with a pinch of salt.
"Chelsea are ready to make a £21million bid for West Ham strikerEnner Valencia as part of a crazy transfer scramble (The Sun)" I know The Sun are renowned for printing ****, however this isn't even realistic. He's done **** all but score that belter against us in his first game, very overrated. However if it was Diafra Sakho I wouldn't of been surprised, he looks lethal.
Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham SB on the transfer window: "We've got one or two irons in the fire. Let's hope we can get them over the line." #hcafc Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham Steve Bruce says it's very unlikely anyone will be in before tomorrow. Working on a loan deal with a PL club
Ha well that's confirmed.....nothing,I'm glad Buckingham tweeted that I feel much more assured than I did half hour ago
Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham Steve Bruce says a deal has been agreed with Lokomotiv Moscow striker Dame N'Doye but stresses there's still a lot of work to do.
Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham Personal terms not agreed but offer in the region of £3m accepted. That and the PL loan the ones #hcafc are working on. Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham Deal for N'Doye struck last night, according to Bruce. Very cautious still. By no means guaranteed he'll come at this stage.
N'Doye and Lennon in before Manchester City away, let's finally take some points from them rich bastards.
Bruce has already said he is only in for a Premier League player on loan (Most probably a winger, most probably Lennon) as well as N'Doye, this won't happen.
