Rodgers says that he is unlikely to dip into the transfer market this weekend. "If we get a positive result on Saturday that'll put us in a great position," he says. “Every manager will always want more signings... I would want to be able to do one or two things. "But I always said the likelihood was we wouldn't sign anyone in January and it looks like that is going to be the case."
There will be some familiar faces in the West Ham side at Anfield on Saturday. Stewart Downing and Andy Carroll are both playing well for the Irons and will be looking to make an impact. Rodgers salutes both players and explains why they left: On Downing: “He wasn’t someone I wanted to move on. Good side West Ham. Watch out for Cresswell much underrated imo, as is Collins who's a proper defender. They'll give you a decent game I reckon.
