No longer one of ours, but it's nice to see another one of our academy products showing his ability:

Really should've been put in by the guy on the near post.

A team featuring DeAndre Yedlin, Grant Ward on his return from his loan with Chicago Fire, Jordan Archer after his loan to Northampton and captained by Bongani Khumalo beat West Ham 3-1 at their Rush Green Stadium facility last night.

The young American played for an hour before being replaced by McQueen.
Ward bagged a brace with two free-kicks either side of a goal by Harry Winks.

Short by-the-numbers interview with Yedlin here: http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/spurs-tv/interviews/deandre-exclusive!/

Luongo was someone I thought may have had a future here, so when he joined Swindon permanently it came as a bit of a surprise to me as I think he could do better than League 1. I think he was the subject of a bid from a Championship club in the Summer (can't remember who) though it at least looks like he'll be there next season providing The Robins maintain top position. Good seeing Jon Obika do pretty well too, reading his wiki page, his strike rate has been impressive since he joined them in the Summer.

Question for Spurcat, any idea as to whether the club are looking to loan any youngsters out this window?

The likes of Oduwa and Winks from what I've seen are good enough to be given opportunities in the Football League. Josh Onomah as well, although I'd love to see him play in a couple of first team games as I think he's a real gem. Maybe the likes of Ward, Ceballos, Ball and Akindayini too?

The academy side progressed through the 4th round of the FA Youth Cup with a 2-0 victory over Wolves.
Ismael Azzaoui added to his hat-trick in the last round to open the scoring and our other, other Kyle (Walker-Peters) got the other.
Onomah captained the team and we picked a 15-year-old at centre-half, by the name of Japhet Tanganga.

United at home in the next round, would be nice if they had it at WHL. I doubt they will though.

We're playing the United game at WHL. Good to see Levy reads this board but more importantly that he listens to me :D

While I've got his attention, buy some bloody players!

Anyone that Pochettino thinks would fit what he wants, they don't necessarily have to be considered good when you look at the way some players have improved under him this season.

Our U21 and U18 have been seriously depleted with so many players going out on loan-It's great that we get close to winning these competitions but I think now we don't have a chance.

It's not about winning leagues/competitions, it's about player development.

Trials have been taking place since late December, with regards to next years intake. As a consequence, we need to immediately progress the development of all our age groups. All will spend the rest of this season training and playing at a higher level than they currently are. For some, his means going to FL clubs as we have seen today with Sonupa and Oduwa and Archer.

Do you know why it is that we take players in at that time of year? With the school years and seasons lining up at similar times I'd have thought that it would be logical to do it over the summer.

Alex Pritchard scores the only goal of the game, as Brentford win at Elland Road for the first time since dinosaurs roamed the land or something.
Next up for our first team squad, surely?

Fredericks plays another 90 minutes for Boro, who ran out 3-1 victors against Charlton at the Riverside.
Veljkovic didn't fare so well, unfortunately. He had to be subbed off after 35 minutes with a suspected dislocated shoulder. Ouch.
He was replaced by Johnnie Jackson, to add insult to injury.

Oduwa played the last half an hour of Luton's draw at Oxford, but the score remained the same as it was when he was introduced.
Nice to see him getting some game time, though. Good sign.
McEvoy was an unused sub for Colchester, who lost at home to Crewe and only made one change.

Pritchard will be in the PL next season.
On loan to one of Bournemouth or Brentford IMHO.

The same thing happened to Holtby a few weeks ago, it's like a loanee curse or something.

As much as I'd love it, I can't see Brentford going up this season, their defence isn't good enough. I reckon Pritchard will be in our squad next season, his delivery is excellent he just needs a bit more fine tuning with his decision making.

Hope we get a good turn out on Monday to see the next batch of superstars set to come through the academy.

    Brentford highlights:

Lots of Pritchard in attack, with at least two chances created that should've been put away.
