It's not news is it ? As you say, they've being doing it a couple of seasons ............... one of the joys of supporting a big team I suppose.
The bottom line is that they simply are not valued customers, there's a list of thousands that will take their place if they ever decide to walk away. The club simply see it as either pay or someone else will, which gives the fans no power at all.
Its shameful that the club has to remind these fans they need to come to games, must be frustrating for the club.
Agreed. Sides, the ****ers explicitly agreed to those terms when they got their season tickets, the club just wants tickets to go to people who will actually turn up to games, all games, after all there is a waiting list of people who genuinely do want to go. They agree to this then have a hissy fit when they fancy staying away because its not a top 4 club. Don't like the terms, don't ****ing agree to them. Arseholes.
Maybe if they didn't shaft their customers for £50 for a cup replay against League Two opposition, they wouldn't mind buying a ticket. Your regular glee at seeing football fans getting ****ed over doesn't half make you look a ****.
It shouldn't be the only option though, not everyone has the time or money to go to 25+ home games a season, some people have lives outside of supporting a football club.
How are they getting ****ed over? The terms and conditions of those season tickets are REALLY clear, and not new either. The prices of the tickets for their games are well known and long established. Its part and parcel of being a fan of clubs like that. Its not the 80s you know, you don't need to pretend to be a rebel anymore and rage against everything.
That's a different topic. Maybe it should, maybe it shouldn't. It clearly works for them and I doubt anyone even on here is going to question their ability to make money. The facts are simple, that is the conditions and they are aware when they sign up and agree to them. If they don't like it, they should not get one.
If you want a season ticket at Man United, you have to agree to it, it doesn't make it right. £50 to watch Man United play Cambridge United is a rip off, both for Man United fans and for Cambridge United fans and to ban fans from the next game if they refuse to pay it is ****ing disgraceful. It's a pity they don't all refuse to turn up for either, the policy would soon change.
Football get's more and more exploitative of the people that love the game, with each passing season. Every Manchester utd supporter, should boycott this game. Something radical needs to be done by all football fans. We're being raped, and the fat cats are pissing themselves laughing.
But as was said above. If they don't go, then there's a list of 1000's who will. It's not like the old days at BP when the song used to be "sit down, if you want Dolan out." Actually nobody had a choice in that as anyone who didn't got shouted at!
