We should win this game. They are strugging at the wrong end of the table. A good goal return to improve our goal difference would be ideal.

We have sold 650 tickets so far for this all ticket game and Dartford has just released more tickets. Expected to take around 1000 gasheads.

    A Look At Princes Park

Princes Park is a football stadium in Dartford, Kent, England. It is the home of Dartford F.C.. Greenwich Borough F.C. have been sharing the ground with the Darts since 2013. The stadium's postcode is DA1 1RT, the closest possible representation of the word "Dart". DA1 1FC was unobtainable, as the letter C is not allocated for use at the end of British postcodes. The stadium is owned by Dartford Borough Council.

    Construction

Construction work began on 14 November 2005. Designed by Alexander Sedgley architects, the stadium has a capacity of 4,100 (642 seated), and has been described as one of the most ecologically sound ever built. The pitch level is sunk two meters below the external ground level to reduce noise and light pollution. It is estimated to have cost around £7 million. The stadium was opened on 11 November 2006 when Dartford FC, who had been without a home ground in the borough since 1992, beat Horsham YMCA 4-2 in an Isthmian League Division One South league fixture, in front of a capacity 4,097 crowd.[2]
The environmental aspects of the stadium include - The stadium roof has a sedum roof blanket, a living roof that provides a natural air filtration system. solar panels on the roof serve the community changing areas and public toilets hot water storage cylinders. The roof is supported by treated Glulam timber beams. Water recycling system which serves the toilets within the clubhouse. Rain water is collected in the two large ponds at the north end of the stadium grounds. Underfloor heating on both levels of the clubhouse. Low energy lighting. Increased fabric insulation to give the clubhouse better thermal retention and efficiency. Condensing boilers to provide a more energy efficient system. Also excavated earth was reused for landscaping the external courtyard areas around the stadium.

    Facilities

Princes Park has an all-weather training pitch available for community use, and the stadium's clubhouse which contains bars, banqueting suites and meeting rooms.
Located close to Dartford town centre and the
M25 motorway, Princes Park is also served by a dedicated "Fastrack" bus stop. The use of public transport for travel to the stadium is encouraged, although there is a dedicated car park with spaces for up to 300 vehicles. Vehicle access is via Grassbanks, a new road named by the winner of a local newspaper competition. On non-matchdays, this is available for use as a "park and ride" station for users of the Fastrack bus service.

    Sports

Sports played at the stadium include
    • Golf - Princes Golf, a nine-hole golf course, which closed in November 2005 when construction work on the stadium began, and was re-opened in October 2007 after remodelling work.
    Commendations

The stadium has received a number of commendations for its design and environmentally friendly features. The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors acknowledged the stadium for being "green",and the venue has received significant publicity in the national press. Princes Park was the winner of the GT Ground Awards, "Best New Non-League Ground" award. saying, "Let's hope other forward-thinking councils will follow their lead."[4] On Sky Sports Soccer AM show in April 2007, Fashion designer and architect Wayne Hemingway said of Princes Park "It’s got a grass roof all the way around the outside, it’s got solar panels it’s totally sustainable and creates its own electricity. That’s the way that buildings should go, it’s just fantastic, and it’s definitely the best stadium in the country." Adding that "the absolute number one new stadium in the country is from a club that is in the conference - Dartford" ahead of Arsenal's Emirates Stadium and the new Wembley Stadium.

You might have to wait a bit longer for that! I think we've both gone for us to win here anyway. 2-0 is my guess.

Darrell talks about his squads injuries, the lack of first team action and this weekends trip to Dartford

Darrell Clarke has always had a small squad to work with all season but in recent history numbers have been depleted because of injury with the Rovers boss saying that Ollie Clarke's injury isn't as bad as first feared. "We had some great news yesterday about Ollie [Clarke], he went to see a specialist and his knee is going to heal in around 2-3 weeks and he wont need an operation.

"That is great news for us because obviously if he goes under the knife then you're looking at 6-8 weeks minimum and we want to have Ollie back because he has scored some important goals for us this season.

"Ollie has been unfortunate in his past with other injuries but for a majority of last season and this season so far, touch wood, he has been relatively injury free.

Stuart Sinclair missed Rovers last competitive game with Woking due to a bruising on his passing foot with Darrell branding Sinclair's injury 'a difficult one'.

"We are getting Stuart's foot scanned because it hasn't healed as quickly as we would have liked.

"It looks a very sore one and it looks like it might be very deep bone bruising or it could be a ligament so we really need to get it assessed now.

"I'm certainly not ruling him [Stuart Sinclair] out of the game on Saturday but we need to make sure that we have a clearer picture initially.

Neal Trotman was another player sidelined through injury after tweaking his hamstring against Torquay on New Years Day but Darrell tells us that he is also back into full training.

"Neal [Trotman] has been back a while now and fit and ready to go and keen to get on with his business which is great for us.

"It is pleasing that he is back as it allows us to have several options for those defensive spots.

Before Saturday's trip to Princes Park rolls around the Rovers squad would have gone almost two weeks without a competitive game and Darrell tells us that it is all about striking the right balance.

"You have to get this right to keep the players ticking over but it is difficult as we train very intensely anyway with a lot of contact work as that is what happens in games.

"The training is pretty intense and you always have to hope that you don't pick up too many injuries but you have got to train how you play and my players certainly do that.

"We tried to schedule a game against Forest Green last week to get some minutes into some of the lads that haven't featured as much but that game got called off because of the pitch so we will be doing some 11vs11 stuff today in training just for some match preparation for Saturday.

Saturday's opponents Dartford are stuggling at the wrong end of the table this season but it is another difficult away trip for Darrell and the squad.

"Dartford is a difficult place to go but it is a very decent setup there and I know Tony Burman does really really well on limited resources.

"They picked up a 2-2 draw in the FA Trophy on Saturday against Halifax who have always been there or there abouts in the league this season and they gave Halifax a really good game so it will be yet another tough game.

I hope we're not as sluggish and slow off the mark as we were against Woking
after another two week break. We should have been fresh and up for it but we
came away with a tame draw.
Looks like being a cold and damp day...a day for the thermals!
I'm going for a 1-1 draw or a narrow one goal Rovers win.

It's going to be interesting to see how Easter works out. I really hope he makes a difference. But he may be right off the pace and be more of a hindrance like that Scottish striker that McGhee said would score loads of goals. I just hope that DC acts quickly if Easter doesn't cut the mustard because there isn't any margin for error now.

Dartford should be ok, I would have thought. It would be good to make up some ground quickly...
