talkSPORT's Dutch football correspondent Marcel van der Kraan claims Feyenoord pair Jordy Clasie and Sven van Beek are on Southampton's radar.
Saints chief Ronald Koeman worked with the pair during his time at the Netherlands club, and is expected to launch a double offer for the duo in the summer.
And Van der Kraan insists Clasie is one of the best players in the Eredivisie.
“Ronald Koeman knows absolutely everything about two of the biggest gems at Feyenoord,” he told Hawksbee and Jacobs. “They are the midfielder and the captain Jordy Clasie, and Sven van Beek.
“Clasie is a sort of Cesc Fabregas player and, probably, the best player in the Dutch league.
“I would think he would jump at the chance to re-join Koeman. It won't be in the last few days of this window but I'm sure he will have a real go at getting him in the summer.
“The other one is Sven van Beek, who is a brilliant 20-year-old defender. He’s very promising. It won't be long before Koeman tries to get him as well.”

Will you keep quiet. Arsenal would find him a perfect alternative to Morgan (who I understand is crap).

For me, it's about how you do it. Pochettino left after only being here a short while, while still under contract. Further, there is the perception that he never had any plans to stay here after January, and jerked the club around pretending he would. And while he was doing that, he was sowing seeds of discontent and already trying to set up transfers. Screwing over your employers while still under contract is rather unethical. I don't know if any of that is true, but there's at least a perception that is what happened.

Koeman left at the end of his contract, so that's different right there. And he told everyone he was leaving at the end of his contract, so he didn't pull the rug out from under anyone's feet. He clearly wanted to manage in the Premier League but there was no guarantee he would get a job, much less with Saints so he didn't have the same ability to try and tap up players for his new club. He could have been out of football for a year, or ended up at Crystal Palace or something.

I don't recall Feyenoord complaining when Koeman left, or about selling Pelle. They seem relatively content with the price they got for him.

Clasie is almost certainly going to leave anyway. Feyenoord might be unhappy about that, and if so I can sympathize. But it's not like Saints are driving the bus. There will be plenty of big-time offers for him. If he goes to Saints because he likes Koeman over some other "bigger" club, I can't see why Feyenoord would be care as long as the transfer price is met. I seriously doubt we can get Clasie to force a move to Saints anyway, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Can we ban info from TalkSport on here? If we post every rumour from that crap site we would have about 1000 pages.

    Sky still saying today:

According to Sky sources, QPR are interested in bringing Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo to Loftus Road before the window shuts.
Osvaldo, on loan at Inter Milan, has had problems in Serie A, clashing with team-mate Mauro Icardi, with Roberto Mancini casting him out of the side.

We are never going to get rid of him are we? If he goes there he's bound to hit Joey Barton I mean it's just too tempting isn't it?

Osvaldo must`ve got himself really unfit before `Arry is interested. `Arry wouldn`t give Taraabt a game because he`d turned into a bloater (he hadn`t btw), then he signed Zarate from WHU, then said he wasn`t fit enough either. Goodness knows what state all the other high wage duds he`s signed are in. Must be like the Telly Tubbies at Loftus Road. Or Dad`s Army.

I think I'm getting used to the idea that we are signing no one in January, and no one is leaving.

So you've almost spent the entire month on the edge of your virtual seat, even though Koeman said after Elia, [with some authority at the time] that he wasn't going to be doing any more business in or out...?

My personal defcon status just went back to 5 at that point and has not wavered since. :p

Osvaldo must be the biggest ****wit ever to pull on a pair of boots. Wont play, attacks teammates, attacks opposition goalkeeping coaches. I'd love him to go to QPR and get his face rearranged by Barton just because they're stupid enough to want him and they're a rival. Recent report says he might be of to Juve as they're in need. In need of their heads read I reckon. I swear we will never be rid of this guy.

The trouble with these videos is they only put in the very best bits. This particular one covers about .01% of his career. Luckily no-one in the know will be making decisions based on it.

From that short film, looks good though.

And you also have to consider other factors that would make a player suit you. Good players aren't good in every team. Perhaps they score well because they have other players to supply them....perhaps a GK looks good because he has a solid back four in front of him.
