[QUE="StanDMan, post: 7542877, member: 1009739"]because Costa has a bad rep [/QUOTE] Oh thats ok then.
Both would have been harsh second yellows and understandably not given. Mourinho having a hissy fit shouldn't affect it.
If you say so. Game of opinions I guess. I dare say if that was Matic and Hazard you'd consider them harsh yellows.
Harsh yellows. They were obvious yellows ffs Ha yeah. Harsh yellows. Whatever. Anyway, Wembley here we come.
Tough game in every way, atrocious referee missed everything bad from both teams, so at least he wasn't biased. Costa needs a good kick up the arse from Jose, he might be good but he's not so good he can go around stamping and diving like a big girls blouse. He really is trouble looking for somewhere to happen, and will cost us big time before this season is out if he doesn't sort his head out. Matic is simply amazing, week after week he puts in and without him Terry and Cahill would be working a lot harder. That said Zouma was my MOM, what a great kid we have in him. Good win, but hope the extra time doesn't take the edge off us against City.
What an arsehole you are, you couldn't attract a player of his calibre at your **** club. He's far better than anything you have or will have under that fat overblown Dutch fake.
Strong reaction KO Willian is a work horse, compared to players like Hazard, Oscar and Fab he is average in quality. No shame in that if he does a job for the team
Don't know why all you boys are arguing over a bit of argy bargy between 6ft+ players. Skrtel is a bully and so is Costa, Skrtel won the first leg at Anfield but Costa was supreme tonight and was without equal when it came to giving it back. Costa found space wide at times as Liverpool seemed fazed by Hazard running through them and mostly used two players to close him down. But a great cup tie all the same and credit to Liverpool for standing toe to toe punching it out with us, I think we finished the stronger as we were still relatively fresh after that ****e performance against Bradford.
I love how Liverpool fans/media are full of righteous indignation here: Where were you when suarez was racially abusing people? Or handballing balls into the net? Or diving? Or biting people? Reality check. Emre can thought he'd mug costa off by pushing the ball away, costa gave him a bit of afters because he's a hard b******d. Is can hurt? No. Skrtl was giving it all that all game he's meant to be a hard one too. After kicking DC in the area he was standing over him like a knob chatting s***. Later on costa stands on him either accidentally or not. Was Skrtl hurt? No. Get over it. now what about skrtel elvowing courtois? What about skrtel giving away a penalty against costa? What about henderson handballing in the area? What about both lucas and henderson doing enough to get 3 yellows each? Now im going to get deeper. lets talk about how Liverpool were NEVER in control of this tie. Lets talk about how chelsea played those guys off the park yesterday and deserved to win it in normal time. lets talk about how brendan got tactically outclassed AGAIN by jose. Lets talk again about how sterling and Gerrard dissapered yesterday too. .... you still there Liverpool fans?
Breathe, George, breathe. Costa is a wonderful player on his day but there's nothing "hard bastard" about stamping on people. If he'd been sent off he'd have looked rather silly. Just enjoy the win. Your goalkeeper was man of the match in both games so it's fair to say it wasn't quite the whitewash you make out.
Hazarad for my money mate coutois really didn't do much yesterday, I actually was very surprised (or not sadly) that sky said he was our best player, but we can't do much about biased pundits etc. costa is a hard knock and im sure can wont do that again next time they play! Id also like to point out skrtl and costa hugging at the end: funny how fans are more offended than the "victims" lol
Great game last night, I think over the two games you edged it, enjoy the final. Costa though, Maureen is having a laugh "accidental" Stampford Bridge As you can see here, anything but acidental. please log in to view this image
Where was that kind of fair attitude when Suarez was playing in the PL It's a lot easier when it's your own player ain't it. Either way, the FA will take note and it's in the media now, he'll be watched. Jose will claim "campaign" against Costa and bans will be meted out should he continue in this fashion, you get away with a lot more in Spain than you do in England. He can be a tough to play against forward without the headbutting and stamping. It's not heat of the moment stuff, it's premedicated nastiness.
People keep having a go at Willian, he's doing a job at Chelsea he's never had to do before. He puts in a serious amount of work every game, most of it when Chelsea don't have the ball, he wins a lot of possession back. To be fair to the lad he's accepted the role change from what he was prior to coming to Chelsea and got on with it.
Lucas should have seen red, definately a yellow for that trip on Oscar. Henderson, yes he moved but I don't think he intentionally handled the ball, don't think that was a second yellow but couldn't be too annoyed if the ref gave it either. The crowd calling for a free any time anyone came within 3 feet of Hazard He's a great player but he's a divey **** as well, his fall and scream at the end was hilarious, Johnson was all "wtf like I never touhed him" and Hazard in "agony" on the ground.
Luas yes defo, Henderson could have gone either way and no one should complain. If we're talking def sendings off, Costa and Lucas should have been off, Lucas intentionally tripped Oscar so yellow all day. Costa should have got 2 reds to add to his yellow. Oliver is a **** ref though.
