Good game to watch but the quality of football from both sides was bang average with the exception of Hazard (motm performance). Overall chelsea were the better team and deserved to go through but Costa and Willian were mediocre and made it a harder game than it needed to be.
If the ref does his job, Costa gets a red after 10 minutes and we have 80 minutes against 10 men to score a goal. I'd fancy those odds...
I have no idea what BR was thinking with his substitutions. Really poor. They struggled with our inventiveness, that pretty much stopped once Balo came on. All in all, a good performance from us, lacked a fast striker (Sterling needs to improve his finishing a lot!)....our summer transfer business came back and bit us hard.
Can had a good game,getting better all the time as for Lamblurt and Badontelly they can join Johnson and F... off.
Overall in this game they were the better team? Or overall in the tie? If you mean the latter then I completely disagree. Chelsea played better today but had about 2 clear cut chances tonight, we also had 3. Compared to the last game when we should have won about 4-1.

He brought on a RB to play at LCB... He kept on Gerrard the whole 120 when he clearly wasn't doing too much positively Balotelli on for Markovic and Lambert for Moreno took away all of our width and pace for quick attacks or supporting Sterling He (along with us) is pinning all of his hopes on Sturridge because he spunked his money on gash forwards and has nothing left to spend. My worry is that Sturridge comes and plays well and Rodgers regains the faith of the board. Rodgers got a lot wrong, but I can't fault the players for their effort. THAT was encouraging.
It is not rubbish players more like rubbish strikers. We created a ton load of chances to win at a canter the problem is when you analyze the transfer activities it is the forwards who have failed miserably. Moreno Sakho Can Markovic have all improved. Balotelli Lambert and Borini are just piss poor.
And who signed Lovren? Who signed Balloteli and Lambert when we needed a proven goal scorer. Who left us relying on an injury prone striker? Who failed to replace Suarez with a quality player? Who insists on playing Gerrard when he clearly cant perform for 120 mins? Who slagged off our number one goalkeeper who incidently he signed, dropped him " indefinitely" in favour of a crap number two only to reinstate him after two games due to injury. Shall I carry on? Thats the reason people moan about Rodgers.
Is no one going to mention Henderson for their goal? He's marking Costa and within 1 second he lets him run... he then runs in front of Balotelli who instead of continues to go back goes with the free runner who is the CF and main goal threat... If Henderson goes with Costa, maybe balotelli doesn't switch off and stays with his man.
