Making him captain now doesn't mean he'll be captain for the next ten years, and that's even if he stays at the club. Sami Hyypia was the previous captain but he didn't leave the club until about four years after Gerrard becoem skipper.

Absolutely no question about it, it was 100% a stamp by Costa too!

 

Sterling is keeping two centre backs busy which should create space for the other attacking players, probably also why Coutinho has had so much space as well.

TBF, they should have had a penalty too so I'm not going to complain too much

 

The reason I think it was intentional from Costa is that he treads on his leg as many players have before in similar situations, the player then feels that it someones leg and reacts and apologises. Costa just left his weight on it and carried on.

 

He can dive in the shower all he wants and will never get a pen

 

Costa with 1 blatant dive when alongside Sterling and a stamp, so should be on a red and a yellow so far
Was a pen from Skrtel but if you will keep diving then refs are going to doubt you.

Unlucky from Coutinho, great skill to lose the Chelsea defenders and just needed to put the ball in the corner more.
